Welcome! I’m truly glad you’re here. I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Nurtured Psychiatry LLC. I know that reaching out for mental health support can feel like a big step, and I want you to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, sharing your story, and knowing that you are genuinely heard. I offer personalized psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing support tailored to who you are—not simply to a diagnosis. Your story matters. Your feelings matter. And you matter.

I provide both medication management and psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, and LGBTQ+ individuals in a safe, inclusive, and culturally sensitive space.

My hope is that together, we can better understand what you’re experiencing and find an approach that supports your mental health, your goals, and the life you want to live. I’m glad you found your way here. It would be an honor to support you on your journey toward greater peace, balance, and well-being.

First session

In our first session, my main goal is to get to know you, not just your symptoms, but your story. We’ll talk about what brought you in, your mental health history, any previous treatment or medications you've tried, and what you’re hoping to get out of care. I may also ask about your physical health, family history, and lifestyle factors that could influence your treatment plan. This initial appointment typically lasts around about 60 minutes and is focused on evaluation and relationship-building, not rushing into medication. If we decide together that medication may be helpful, I’ll explain the options clearly, answer your questions, and make sure you feel fully informed and comfortable with the plan moving forward. Most importantly, this is a judgment-free, supportive space. You don’t need to prepare anything perfectly just come as you are. My role is to listen carefully, offer clinical guidance, and work with you to create a plan that feels right for you.

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to blend clinical expertise with empathy. I don’t just treat symptoms; I treat the whole person. I take the time to understand your background, culture, and individual challenges, which helps me tailor treatment plans that truly fit your life. I’m also skilled at medication management, carefully balancing the science of psychopharmacology with your personal preferences and goals. I prioritize transparency and education, so you feel empowered and informed about every decision. Clients often tell me that my compassionate, nonjudgmental approach makes them feel safe and supported, which creates the foundation for real progress and lasting change.

Ideal clients

People feeling stuck in areas of their life, particularly related to anxiety, self-doubt, and relationship dynamics. The client describes a tendency to overthink and be self-critical, often feeling overwhelmed by competing responsibilities and expectations. They shared concerns about recurring emotional patterns and a sense of disconnection from themselves, noting that previous coping strategies no longer feel effective. While not necessarily in acute crisis, the client is seeking greater clarity, emotional balance, and more effective ways of managing stress and interpersonal challenges. The client appears motivated for change and open to the therapeutic process, expressing interest in developing insight, improving self-worth, and creating more intentional and fulfilling life experiences.

Treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

Over time, I’ve worked with diverse populations and adapted CBT techniques to meet each client’s unique needs. This experience has taught me how powerful CBT can be in helping clients gain insight, build coping skills, and achieve measurable changes in their lives.
