I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a background in emergency medicine, acute care, inpatient detox, rehab, and psychiatry. That experience shapes how I work with clients today. When you come in with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, panic, or stress that will not let up, I want to understand what is actually driving how you feel. I do not only look at the diagnosis. I also ask about your sleep, energy, appetite, physical health, hormones, routines, and day-to-day life, because those pieces often matter. My approach is direct, thoughtful, and practical. I take time to explain what I am seeing in plain language, answer your questions, and build a plan that fits your life instead of giving you a one-size-fits-all answer.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will talk through what has been going on, when it started, and what feels hardest right now. I will ask about your symptoms, mental health history, family history, past experiences with therapy or medication, and anything you have already tried. I will also ask about physical factors that can affect mental health, including sleep, energy, appetite, stress, and overall health. My goal is to understand the full picture so we can make better decisions together. From there, I will explain what I am seeing in a way that is easy to understand. If anxiety or panic is part of what you are experiencing, I may also explain what your nervous system is doing so the symptoms feel less random and easier to work with. Before the session ends, we will talk through next steps. That may include medication, education, coping strategies, therapy, lifestyle changes, or a combination of supports. My goal is for you to leave with a clear plan and a better understanding of what we are working on.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my biggest strengths is looking at the whole person, not just one symptom. My background in emergency medicine, family medicine, and psychiatry helps me think about mood, sleep, physical health, hormones, and medication decisions together. I also care about making treatment understandable. Mental health can feel overwhelming, especially when symptoms show up in your body. I take time to explain what may be happening, what your options are, and why a certain treatment path may make sense. When medication is part of the plan, I think carefully about long-term fit. I talk through benefits, possible side effects, and what to watch for so you can feel informed and involved in your care. I also try to create sessions that feel grounded and useful. You can expect honest conversation, practical next steps, and enough time to talk through what is actually going on.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work well with teens, young adults, and adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, panic symptoms, mood changes, or stress during major life transitions. I am especially well-positioned to support people who feel like they have been rushed through short medication visits and want someone to look more carefully at the whole picture. If you have wondered whether sleep, stress, hormones, physical health, or lifestyle factors are affecting your mental health, we can explore that together. I am also a good fit for clients who want to understand what is happening, not just receive a prescription. If you are looking for a provider who can combine medication management with education, structure, and practical strategies, my approach may be a good match. You do not need to have everything figured out before the first visit. We can start with what you are experiencing now and build a clear path forward from there.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)–informed strategies into my practice as part of a structured, evidence-based approach to treating anxiety, depression, and related mood disorders. While I primarily provide medication management, I frequently integrate CBT principles to help patients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In practice, I use CBT techniques to help patients identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge cognitive distortions, and develop healthier coping strategies. This often includes psychoeducation, collaborative goal-setting, and practical skills that patients can apply in their daily lives to improve emotional regulation and overall functioning. My goal is to make CBT concepts accessible and actionable, so patients feel empowered to actively participate in their own progress and long-term mental wellness.

Integrative

I use an integrative approach by combining evidence-based psychiatric care with supportive therapeutic techniques tailored to each patient’s needs. This allows me to address both biological and psychological aspects of mental health. In practice, I integrate medication management with psychoeducation, coping strategies, and lifestyle considerations to support long-term stability and improvement.

Supportive

I utilize supportive therapy techniques to provide patients with a safe, nonjudgmental space to discuss their symptoms and challenges. My focus is on strengthening coping skills, improving emotional regulation, and reinforcing resilience while patients navigate anxiety, depression, and life stressors alongside medication treatment.

Psychoeducation

I incorporate psychoeducation throughout treatment to help patients better understand their diagnoses, symptoms, and treatment options. This includes explaining how medications work, expected side effects, and how lifestyle factors impact mental health. My goal is to empower patients to actively participate in their care and make informed decisions.

Trauma Informed Care

I practice with a trauma-informed lens by recognizing how past experiences may influence current mental health symptoms, behaviors, and treatment responses. I prioritize safety, trust, and collaboration in all patient interactions, ensuring care is delivered in a way that avoids re-traumatization and supports emotional stability.
