I identify as
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a client-centered counseling approach designed to help individuals resolve ambivalence and make positive changes in their behavior. It is particularly effective for issues like addiction, behavior change, and health-related decisions. In my practice, I start by understanding patients' goals, values, and ambivalence about change. I use open-ended questions and reflective listening to explore your thoughts and feelings. Finally, I can help you express reasons for and against change, and collaboratively work toward resolving this ambivalence.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is a widely used therapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and modifying negative thought patterns and behaviors to address emotional and psychological issues. It is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and by changing unhelpful thought patterns, individuals can improve their emotional well-being.
