New to Grow
Hi, my name is Elizabeth & I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. I've worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and hospital environments, which has given me experience supporting clients through both acute challenges and longer-term healing. My approach to therapy is relaxed, collaborative, and human. I'm down-to-earth and not overly analytical-I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation rather than an interrogation. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself and supported as you work through what's weighing on you. I blend evidence-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness into sessions in a practical and approachable way. My goal is to help you better understand your thoughts and emotions, build coping skills, and feel a little lighter as you move through day-to-day life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is designed to feel like a relaxed conversation. You don't need to come in with the perfect words, a clear list of goals, or a rehearsed story. I'll help guide the conversation, so you don't have to worry about what to say or where to start. We'll move at your pace, focusing on helping you feel heard, supported, and safe. Whether you're dealing with something specific or simply know that something doesn't feel right, we'll begin making sense of things together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My approach is flexible, collaborative, and tailored specifically to you. I combine evidence-based methods to help clients untangle thoughts, manage emotions, and develop coping strategies that feel useful in real life. Client's often share that sessions feel grounding and supportive, and that they leave feeling more understood and a bit more at ease. I focus on building progress that feels sustainable and empowering rather than overwhelming.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with children, teens, and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, crisis, or feeling emotionally stuck. Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, unsure where to begin, or worried about being judged. Whether this is your first therapy or you've tried it before, I strive to meet you where you are and help create a space that feels safe, supportive, and collaborative. Together, we'll work toward greater understanding, emotional balance, and relief.
