New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 16 years of professional experience providing therapy and supportive services to individuals facing a variety of personal and emotional challenges. My clinical experience includes helping clients navigate relationship issues, family conflict, trauma, abuse, motivation difficulties, self-esteem concerns, and challenges related to confidence and personal growth. My approach is client-centered, compassionate, and strengths-based. I believe each individual is the expert of their own story and possesses unique strengths and resilience that can support healing, growth, and meaningful change. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and respected throughout the therapeutic process. I understand that seeking support and taking the first step toward a more fulfilling and balanced life requires courage. My role is to provide guidance, encouragement, and practical tools to help clients work through challenges, build on their strengths, and achieve their personal goals.
During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where we begin getting to know one another and discussing what has brought them to therapy. The initial session is focused on building rapport, understanding current concerns, and identifying goals for treatment. We will discuss important areas such as personal history, current stressors, emotional and behavioral concerns, relationships, coping strategies, and any previous therapy experiences. Clients are encouraged to share at their own pace, and there is no pressure to discuss anything before they feel ready. The first session also provides an opportunity to review the therapy process, discuss expectations, answer questions, and collaborate on goals for future sessions. Together, we will begin identifying strengths, areas of concern, and the most appropriate therapeutic approaches to support progress and healing. My goal is for clients to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and more hopeful about the path forward.
My approach is personable which makes it easy to feel comfortable.
I am particularly effective with clients who are motivated to engage in the therapeutic process, open to self-reflection, and interested in developing healthier coping strategies and patterns of thinking. I work with individuals who want to improve communication, build confidence, strengthen boundaries, process difficult experiences, and create more balance in their personal or professional lives. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and goal-oriented. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I also work well with clients who appreciate a strengths-based and skills-focused approach that combines insight with practical strategies they can apply in everyday life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress-related concerns, trauma responses, low self-esteem, and difficulties with emotional regulation. In practice, I use CBT as a structured, goal-oriented treatment approach that helps clients identify the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Strength-Based
I use a strength - based approach to help clients recognize and build upon their existing abilities, resilience, and personal resources rather than focusing solely on problems or deficits. My experience with this treatment method includes working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns.
