I am a licensed clinician with more than 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change. I specialize in working with substance use concerns, trauma, anxiety, gender-related issues, and legal system involvement. My approach is compassionate, affirming, and practical, combining evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a strong emphasis on creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped to move forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. We’ll explore your current concerns, your personal history, and the goals you hope to work toward. This initial meeting is an opportunity to begin building a comfortable, collaborative relationship while identifying the areas that are most important to you. Together, we’ll start developing a plan that supports your needs and goals for therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a balance of experience, compassion, and practicality to the therapeutic relationship. With more than 20 years in the mental health field, I offer both clinical expertise and a grounded, authentic presence. I strive to create a space where people feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected. My approach is affirming, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I understand that seeking help can be difficult, and I work to build a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, safety, and mutual respect. I also focus on helping people translate insight into action. In addition to emotional support and self-exploration, I provide practical tools and evidence-based strategies that clients can apply in their daily lives. My goal is to help people not only better understand themselves, but also feel empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with individuals navigating substance use concerns, trauma, gender-related issues, and involvement with the legal system. These areas often intersect in complex ways, and I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences openly and safely. My approach is compassionate, affirming, and tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. Whether someone is working toward recovery, processing the impact of past trauma, exploring and affirming their gender identity, or addressing challenges related to court involvement, I help clients build insight, resilience, and practical coping skills. Together, we work toward healing, greater self-understanding, and meaningful, lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because I help clients identify the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a way that feels practical, understandable, and empowering. I work collaboratively with clients to recognize unhelpful patterns, challenge distorted thinking, and develop healthier, more adaptive ways of responding to life’s challenges. This often leads to lasting changes in emotional regulation, problem-solving, and overall well-being.

Gender-affirming therapy

I use a gender-affirming approach because I believe every person deserves to feel seen, respected, and supported in their authentic identity. Gender-affirming therapy creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, identity, and goals without fear of misunderstanding or pathologization. I approach this work with humility, curiosity, and respect, recognizing that each person’s journey is unique.
