I’m a trauma-informed therapist and founder of Roots Healing Alliance, where I support individuals and couples in deep, integrative healing that connects mind, body, and lived experience. My work is rooted in both clinical training and lived experience—I’ve been drawn to understanding people and emotional depth for as long as I can remember, and I bring that lifelong curiosity into the therapy space. I specialize in helping clients make sense of anxiety, trauma, and relationship patterns through a blend of psychodynamic, somatic, attachment-based, and interpersonal approaches. I also incorporate Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Critical Memory Integration (CMI), and brain-based strategies to support emotional processing and nervous system regulation. Clients often describe my style as direct, warm, and authentically human, with a sense of humor that helps make heavy work feel more approachable. I don’t show up with a “therapist mask,” but as a real person who can sit with struggle while also helping you move through it. I work especially well with therapists, healers, and high-insight clients who are ready for meaningful, lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, clients can expect a supportive and open space to share what has been weighing on them and what has brought them to therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, goals, and what you’re hoping to get out of our work together, so we can begin shaping a direction that feels meaningful for you. It’s also a space for you to get to know me—my style, my presence, and whether it feels like the right fit. My hope is that you leave the first session with a sense of clarity, safety, and whether you feel comfortable allowing me the honor of walking alongside you as you grow through your roots and into your healing journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a grounded, authentic presence to my sessions that blends real human connection with extensive clinical training across multiple trauma-informed modalities. I have a deep understanding of how the brain and nervous system function through my work as a Certified Brain Health Professional & Coach through Amen Clinics, along with a strong foundation in psychodynamic therapy, which includes shadow work and exploring unconscious patterns that shape how we think, feel, and relate. My approach stands out because I don’t just sit back and listen—I actively engage with clients in a way that is direct, curious, and gently challenging, while always staying compassionate and nonjudgmental. Because of my own lived experiences with mental health struggles and healing, I don’t approach clients from a distant or overly clinical stance. I show up as a real person who understands what it’s like to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward. Clients often experience me as someone who helps them get honest with themselves in a way that feels safe, not shaming. I’m willing to name patterns, ask deeper questions, and gently challenge avoidance or stuck points, while still holding space for emotion and vulnerability. My work is rooted in the belief that growth happens when insight, nervous system awareness, and compassion come together—and I aim to help clients access all three in every session.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready to look inward and create meaningful, lasting change in their life and relationships. They may feel stuck in patterns, overwhelmed by emotions, or disconnected from themselves or others, but are open to gaining insight and trying new ways of showing up. I also work especially well with therapists and other healers—those who support others but may not always have space to process their own experiences—offering a depth-oriented, reflective space that honors both your personal and professional layers.

My treatment methods

Gottman method

I use the Gottman Method to help couples strengthen their relationship through research-backed tools and practical skills. Together, we focus on improving communication, managing conflict in a healthier way, and rebuilding trust and emotional connection. I guide couples in understanding patterns that keep them stuck and support them in creating more respectful, responsive, and secure ways of relating.

Psychodynamic

I use a psychodynamic approach to help clients explore how past experiences and unconscious patterns continue to shape their current thoughts, emotions, and relationships. This includes shadow work—gently bringing awareness to the parts of yourself that may be hidden, suppressed, or difficult to face. Together, we make sense of these patterns, build insight, and create space for more intentional, authentic ways of showing up in your life.

Somatic

I use a somatic approach to help clients tune into their body as a source of insight and healing. Together, we notice physical sensations and gently follow them to uncover underlying emotions and connections to meaningful or formative memories. This process supports deeper awareness, nervous system regulation, and the ability to process experiences in a way that feels grounded, safe, and integrated.

Attachment-based

I use an attachment-based approach to help clients understand how early relationship experiences shape the way they connect with others and themselves. Together, we explore patterns in relationships, build awareness of emotional needs, and identify where insecurity or disconnection may show up. Through this work, I support clients in developing a stronger sense of safety, trust, and more secure, fulfilling relationships.

Interpersonal

I use an interpersonal approach to help clients better understand how their relationships impact their emotional well-being. Together, we explore patterns in communication, connection, and conflict, while identifying ways to strengthen boundaries and express needs more effectively. This work supports healthier relationships, improved social functioning, and a greater sense of connection and support in your life.
