New to Grow
Welcome, you found me on your journey. I consider myself a therapist who identifies as unconventional. I can be messy and loud, but my work is to help you be authentically you and stop fitting into the world's boxes. I am open-minded and quirky and like to work with people who have struggled to "fit in". My journey to mental healthcare Started a long time ago, as a child and possibly in utero. From a family of caregivers. I have always been a healer and worked at age 16 as a peer mentor and worked my way through my associate's degree in social work, to then taking a break to start a family. I now have my master's and am ready to help others reach their goals on their journey.
This will be like many first appointments where there will be lots of information gathering and getting to know you to ensure we are a right fit. My goals for you When you first reach out, whatever your struggle that brings you to therapy is, we will explore how you will know therapy is successful, and maybe be ready to transition from therapy. That 'life worth living' goal, whether long-term or short-term, we will tackle on the way. We will break big goals into smaller, manageable steps to help build success.
I provide a safe environment for you to be you. I want you to be able to create a connection with me and work on the goals you want to achieve. I work with patients needing care for their mental health, including ADHD, Anxiety, Autism or Asperger's Syndrome, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality, Coping Skills, Depression, Grief, Mood Disorders, Panic Attacks, Schizophrenia, Self-Harming, Stress, Suicidal Ideation, Trauma, PTSD, and Women's Issues.
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each patient I work with. I most frequently utilize an Integrative approach, solution-focused, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, client-centered, mindfulness-based therapy, Humanistic, and DBT-trained.
Working on finding out goal worth living and breaking down behavioral goals needed to succeed in life.
Compassion focused we are dealt bad cards at times but its what we do with it that counts.
