New to Grow
I've tried to live my life by the word "YES", which I wrote on the rear of my VW van in the 70's. As I've aged this has shown me the way through many difficulties. I studied Psychology in the 70's, eventually leaving doctoral work to open a Stained Glass studio and eventually obtained a second MA degree in Social Work. leading to my work here. Along the way I've garnered many different paths of therapeutic work and learned how to use them to fit the clients I work with.
During our first session I would like to hear about your most important memories and contacts and work with you to chart our path through your 'underbrush' to a clear understanding of how you can achieve real happiness.
I strongly tend to be flexible in my approach, catering my focus to what a client needs and wants out of therapy. Growing up in Brooklyn I got a sense of humor that I use often and that works to move our conversation forward.
If you have decided it is time to change your approach to life due to pain from your current situation, and are open to listening to alternate paths, we can work together. A long life has given me perspective and taken away any judgments I may have had, leaving me with an ability to relate to many different personalities.
Making the client a full partner in the therapeutic process insures that their investment will reflect their commitment.
