Hello, I'm Adiana Castellanos, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping adults navigate life's mental health challenges with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based care. Throughout my nursing and psychiatric career, I have had the privilege of caring for individuals from diverse backgrounds and at different stages of life, experiences that have strengthened my belief that every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported. My own life experiences have taught me the importance of resilience, empathy, and the healing that can come from having someone truly listen without judgment. Those experiences have shaped the way I practice today—with kindness, patience, and a genuine commitment to meeting each patient where they are. I strive to build meaningful therapeutic relationships based on trust, collaboration, and open communication. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, insomnia, and other mental health concerns. My goal is to develop personalized treatment plans that not only address symptoms but also empower patients to regain confidence, improve their quality of life, and achieve lasting emotional wellness. I believe that seeking help is a sign of strength, and I am honored to partner with my patients on their journey toward healing and recovery.
During our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brought you to treatment. I'll ask about your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, previous treatments, lifestyle, and personal goals. This comprehensive evaluation helps me better understand your unique needs and develop an individualized treatment plan. Together, we'll review any diagnoses, discuss treatment options, and determine whether medication, psychotherapy, or a combination of both is the best approach. If medication is recommended, I'll explain the potential benefits, possible side effects, and answer any questions you may have so you can make an informed decision. My goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences. By the end of the session, you'll have a clear understanding of your treatment plan, next steps, and a collaborative path forward toward improving your mental health and overall well-being.
My approach is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and collaboration. I believe that the strongest therapeutic relationships are built on trust, open communication, and genuine respect. I take the time to truly listen, ensuring each patient feels heard, understood, and actively involved in their treatment decisions. With years of nursing and psychiatric experience, I recognize that mental health is closely connected to physical health, life circumstances, and personal experiences. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I strive to understand the whole person and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that align with each patient's goals, values, and lifestyle. Patients often appreciate my warm, nonjudgmental demeanor and my ability to explain diagnoses and treatment options in a clear, approachable way. My goal is to empower each individual with the knowledge, support, and tools they need to build resilience, improve their quality of life, and achieve lasting mental wellness.
I work best with adults who are ready to better understand themselves and take an active role in improving their mental health. Many of my clients seek support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, insomnia, panic disorder, and life transitions that have begun to affect their relationships, work, or daily functioning. Whether you have been struggling for years or are seeking care for the first time, I provide a supportive, judgment-free space where you can openly discuss your concerns. I enjoy working with individuals who value a collaborative approach and are motivated to develop practical strategies, improve emotional well-being, and achieve lasting stability. My goal is to help you gain clarity, reduce distressing symptoms, build resilience, and improve your overall quality of life through personalized, evidence-based treatment tailored to your unique needs and goals.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based approach that helps identify the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In my practice, I use CBT techniques to help clients recognize unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative beliefs, and develop healthier ways of coping with stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. During our sessions, we work together to identify triggers, set realistic goals, and build practical skills such as cognitive restructuring, problem-solving, behavioral activation, relaxation techniques, and healthy coping strategies. I encourage clients to apply these skills in their daily lives so they can make meaningful, lasting changes outside of our sessions. I often integrate CBT with medication management when appropriate, providing a comprehensive, personalized treatment plan that addresses both symptom relief and long-term emotional well-being. My goal is to empower clients with the tools and confidence they need to manage challenges independently and improve their overall quality of life.
