I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor working with adults who function well in demanding roles but experience internal strain related to anxiety, ADHD, sleep issues, or sustained stress. Many of my clients are in high-pressure environments such as healthcare, first response, STEM, or other responsibility-heavy fields, and are seeking support that goes beyond surface-level coping. My work is informed by formal training in clinical counseling at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a research background in STEM fields. This combination shapes a structured, systems-oriented approach that integrates neuroscience, evidence-based therapy, and careful attention to how complex internal patterns develop and persist under pressure. I work with individuals across diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ clients, and approach identity as an important part of lived context rather than the problem itself. Therapy is a space for clarity, safety, and meaningful change, especially for those who appear capable on the outside but feel taxed or constrained internally.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is focused on understanding what brings you in, how your concerns are showing up in daily life, and what you would like to change or clarify through therapy. We will talk about your current challenges, relevant background, and what you have already tried, while also paying attention to how stress, emotions, and patterns may be interacting beneath the surface. I aim to create a space that is thoughtful, grounded, and collaborative. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. At the same time, this is an active process rather than a purely venting session. By the end of the first meeting, we will begin to identify initial focus areas and determine whether working together feels like a good fit. My goal is for you to leave with greater clarity about what’s happening, what therapy with me looks like, and what next steps may be most helpful.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is working with high-functioning individuals who feel internally strained despite appearing capable on the outside. I bring a structured, systems-oriented approach that integrates neuroscience, evidence-based therapy, and careful attention to patterns that repeat under stress. Clients often appreciate that I can hold both emotional depth and practical thinking at the same time. I help people slow down automatic responses, understand how their nervous system and beliefs interact, and make changes that are sustainable rather than reactive. I am especially effective with clients who value insight, collaboration, and accountability, including those in demanding professional roles or navigating complex identities. My style is engaged, thoughtful, and direct when helpful, with an emphasis on clarity, safety, and meaningful progress rather than quick fixes.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults who function well in many areas of life but feel strained, stuck, or internally overloaded. They are often intelligent, self-aware, and capable, yet notice that anxiety, ADHD-related challenges, sleep disruption, emotional reactivity, or chronic stress are beginning to interfere with their quality of life, relationships, or sense of agency. Many are navigating demanding careers, complex identities, health-related stressors, or significant life transitions, and want therapy that is thoughtful, grounded, and practical rather than vague or surface-level. They are open to examining patterns, understanding how their nervous system responds under pressure, and actively engaging in the therapeutic process. I work well with clients who value insight, collaboration, and accountability, and who are seeking not just relief from symptoms, but greater flexibility and stability in how they relate to themselves and the world around them. LGBTQ+ clients are welcome to bring their full selves into the work, with the understanding that identity is honored while the focus remains on the concerns that matter most to them.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in a structured and collaborative way to help clients understand how patterns of thinking, emotion, and behavior interact under stress. Rather than focusing only on surface-level thought replacement, I work with clients to examine underlying assumptions, mental habits, and coping strategies that shape their responses over time. CBT is often integrated with other approaches to support insight, emotional regulation, and practical change, especially for high-functioning individuals navigating sustained pressure.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to help clients build emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, particularly in high-pressure environments. DBT is used to increase flexibility when emotions run high, without sacrificing personal values or long-term goals. This approach is especially helpful for clients who are capable and driven, yet feel overwhelmed by internal intensity or reactivity.

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients process unresolved or high-impact experiences that continue to influence emotional responses, self-perception, or stress tolerance. For high-functioning individuals, EMDR can be effective in addressing “stuck” patterns that persist despite insight or effort. This approach supports deeper nervous system recalibration while allowing clients to remain grounded and engaged in the present.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is used to support clarity, alignment, and sustainable change without pressure or judgment. I work collaboratively with clients to explore internal conflicts, strengthen motivation, and translate insight into action. This approach is particularly effective for individuals who value autonomy and want therapy to support intentional, self-directed growth.

Psychodynamic

I integrate psychodynamic principles to help clients understand recurring emotional patterns, internal conflicts, and relational dynamics that shape their experiences over time. This approach supports deeper insight into how early experiences and internal narratives influence present-day functioning. For high-performing clients, psychodynamic work often brings clarity to patterns that are efficient professionally but costly personally.
