New to Grow
I am Dr. Michelle Ellis and I am so excited that you've come to visit our website. I hold licenses as a Licensed Professional Counselor (PA), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (FL), a Qualified Supervisor, and I am recognized as a NBCC Board Certified Counselor. I believe authentic connections are the cornerstone of healing. Thus, I actively incorporate multicultural perspectives into therapeutic settings, with a particular emphasis on addressing the unique needs of racially diverse individuals, couples, and families.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, I strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where clients feel safe to share their stories. We begin with an introduction and an assessment of the client’s background, current challenges, and goals. Together, we collaboratively identify objectives for the counseling journey while outlining my humanistic approach. This philosophy emphasizes the importance of understanding one’s past, present, and future as integral to achieving lasting positive change. I also encourage clients to ask questions, ensuring clarity about the process and what to expect moving forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths lies in my multicultural perspective, which allows me to address the unique needs of racially diverse individuals, couples, and families. I pride myself on building authentic connections to foster healing and empowerment, combining compassion with expertise in trauma and resilience.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients include individuals, families, and groups seeking to enhance self-awareness and improve mental well-being. I specialize in working with those navigating trauma and resilience, offering a supportive environment for healing. This diverse clientele allows me to cultivate meaningful connections and address the unique challenges faced by each individual or group.
Humanistic
Through a humanistic approach, our sessions address you as a whole person. Embracing your uniqueness, your personal awareness and reflection will be valued and welcomed. In a safe space, I offer trauma-informed care, ensuring we avoid triggering past traumas. Together, we'll foster security, support, and empowerment, while acknowledging and appreciating our differences.
