About me

I prefer being called Brandi, rather than formal titles like Dr. Walker. I'm the CEO of Marie Pauline Consulting, LLC, my private practice that I recently started. My company provides educational, clinical, and psychological guidance and expertise to organizations and individuals seeking to improve their social climate, employee and customer relations, and/or enhance their diversity and equity awareness. Besides teaching, consulting/coaching and mentoring, I have a solid foundation in individual and group therapy and treatment interventions. I spent several years providing effective therapy to children, adults, and families, who had a variety of presenting concerns and diagnoses. I specialize in treating trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, sleep challenges, ADHD, and situational distress--as all the above, impacts the individual and their family life. I attended Howard University and University of Maryland, College Park, for a Masters in Rehabiliative Counseling and a PhD in clinical psychology respectively. For several years, I've worked within the military as an active duty Army officer, providing therapy to Service members, their families, Veterans, and Retirees. I'm very knowledgeable about treatments and interventions that are based in evidenced and research. I also understand the personal, compassionate side of supporting my clients/patients through whatever challenges they're facing. Outside of clinical care, I conduct research on ADHD, sleep, and wellness initiatives. I've done a lot of work with the Army's Holistic Health and Fitness programs and concerted efforts at lowering stigma. I also volunteer within the community via The National Resource Center for ADHD (CHADD), by assisting parents and families understand their rights as they navigate a variety of challenges related to ADHD.
