LaToya Nesbeth
I’m a dual Board Certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in whole-person, evidence-based care. My clinical background spans child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, with experience across acute care, primary care, oncology, hospice, and other community health settings. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care.
First session
In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming conversation focused on getting to know you, and not just your symptoms, but your goals, history, and what’s been weighing on you. By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of what’s going on and a collaborative plan for next steps, with plenty of space for your questions along the way.
Strengths
I listen carefully, explore what matters most to you, and move at a pace that feels safe and manageable. I combine thoughtful medication management with supportive therapeutic conversations, always explaining options and making decisions together so you feel informed and empowered.
Ideal clients
My practice is designed for high-achieving, hard-working people who spend so much of their lives caring for others that they often overlook their own mental well-being. Whether you're balancing a demanding career, raising children, maintaining relationships, caring for aging parents, or trying to excel in every role you hold, the constant pressure can take a toll. Stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, insomnia, and emotional exhaustion often build gradually, leaving you feeling overwhelmed despite appearing to have everything under control. My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive space where you can pause, be heard, and receive personalized, evidence-based care. Together, we'll work to help you regain balance, strengthen resilience, and improve your overall well-being so you can thrive, not just survive, in every aspect of your life.
Treatment methods
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help patients explore their goals, identify barriers to change, and strengthen their confidence in making healthy decisions. Rather than telling patients what they should do, I use open conversations to help them discover their own reasons for change and build on their personal strengths.
