I strive to create a safe space where people can work on building upon identified strengths, challenge negative assumptions or beliefs, and develop a new mindset to confront daily life obstacles. It is my belief thoughts have a direct influence on how we perceive ourselves, how we interact with others, and how we function on a day-to-day basis. Sometimes we can feel helpless and bound to our thoughts; however, I believe that thoughts are like habits, and habits can be eventually modified to help us achieve our full potential.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I can understand that being vulnerable with a stranger can be very intimidating, so during our first session, we can get to know each other and identify your specific needs. Therapy is not a race.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I utilize humor in my practice as I believe that laughter itself is therapeutic and can provide a pathway to thinking about negativity in a different light. I can see growth learned from perceived negative experiences and support others to learn from their failures rather than fear them.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adolescents/ young adults struggling with issues related to self-identity, peer interactions, family conflict, and self-harming. I also work with adults who are having difficulties with life transitions, substance abuse, boundary issues, trauma, and anxiety/ depressive symptoms.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured and goal-oriented treatment modality. I have found that CBT effectively increases awareness of how thoughts influence mood and behaviors. My goal is to offer guidance with identifying problematic belief systems and train your mind to think differently to confront identified life barriers.
