New to Grow
I am a licensed counselor and marriage and family therapist as well as a nationally certified counselor and certified sex therapist (AASECT). I have over 18 years of clinical experience working with clients. I am passionate about helping people who are dealing with pain and distress. As a licensed counselor, I have nearly two decades of experience supporting people through their journey of healing and self-discovery. I am a licensed mental health clinician in Texas, Arkansas, and Nevada. I offer in-person and telehealth sessions in Texas and telehealth sessions in Arkansas and Nevada. I do not accept insurance for relationship counseling and I do not work with clients under 18 years old.
During the first session, I will gather information about your goals for seeking counseling, and the session will end with an overview of how the therapy process works.
18 plus years working with clients helping them navigate life's struggles and difficulties.
I work best with adults who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful, lasting change. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, identity concerns, or the lasting effects of religious trauma, shame, or difficult family experiences. I also enjoy working with individuals exploring sexuality, intimacy, and relationship concerns in a nonjudgmental, affirming environment. My ideal clients are thoughtful and motivated to grow. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about their next chapter, but they are willing to examine old patterns, consider new perspectives, and actively engage in the therapeutic process. Together, we focus on increasing self-awareness, building healthier relationships, developing resilience, and creating a life that is more authentic, purposeful, and aligned with their values. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds, identities, relationship structures, and belief systems, and strive to provide a collaborative, respectful space where they feel understood, challenged, and supported throughout their journey.
I identify as
Humanistic
Humanistic therapy focuses on helping you better understand yourself, your experiences, and what gives your life meaning. Drawing from person-centered, existential, and other humanistic approaches, I provide a genuine, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where you can explore emotions, clarify your values, build on your strengths, and move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life. Rather than telling you who to be, we work together to help you become the person you want to be.
Existential
Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of what they truly want from life. Existential therapy helps you explore questions about meaning, purpose, identity, relationships, freedom, and the choices that shape your life. Together, we'll examine what's keeping you from living authentically, identify what matters most to you, and help you build a life that feels more intentional, meaningful, and consistent with your values.
Narrative
Narrative therapy helps you separate yourself from the problems you're facing instead of seeing those problems as who you are. Together, we'll explore the stories you've developed about yourself, your relationships, and your life, identify where those stories came from, and discover strengths that may have been overlooked. By rewriting unhelpful narratives, you can create a story that better reflects your values, resilience, and the life you want to live.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we'll identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges, and practice practical skills to reduce anxiety, depression, stress, and other concerns. The goal is to help you feel more confident, resilient, and equipped to make lasting, meaningful changes in your daily life.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Therapy emphasizes your strengths, resilience, and the solutions that are already within your reach. We can focus more time on identifying what's working, clarify your goals, and build on your existing abilities to create meaningful change. Together, we'll focus on practical, achievable steps that help you move toward the life you want with greater confidence and hope.
