New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York with a Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University (NYU). I provide counseling in both English and Korean, offering a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can openly talk, reflect on the experiences, and discover the strengths and inner resources that you have already inside you.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During your first session, we will create a safe and comfortable space for you to share what matters most. We’ll touch on your current concerns and what brought you here, focusing on what feels most meaningful for you to explore. We’ll also talk about what you can expect from therapy, including what the therapy process can offer and its limitations, so you have a clear understanding of how we can work together. This session is your opportunity to ask questions, clarify your goals, and begin discovering ways to support your growth, resilience, and well-being at a pace that feels right for you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I primarily use trauma-informed and person-centered approaches, while utilizing evidence-based integrative tools as appropriate. My work focuses on helping you explore your thoughts and emotions, build practical coping skills, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
“All the strength that you need is right there inside you.” Life can feel heavy at times. You may face uncertainty, stress, difficult emotions, or challenges in your relationships or daily life. Even in these moments, there is a well of strength, resilience, and potential within you. With support, it is possible to reconnect with yourself, understand your feelings, and take steps toward healing and growth. Together, we can work toward a life that feels more balanced, empowered, and aligned with your values.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
My approach focuses on you and where you are in your journey, emphasizing empathy, respect, and empowerment. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. Through a collaborative process, I support you in exploring your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. In this therapeutic journey, my role is to walk alongside you as you deepen your self-understanding and move toward meaningful change in your life.
