About me

Hi, I’m Brianne, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of BEAUTIFUL MINDS THERAPY & CONSULTING, LLC. I specialize in working with adults who struggle with OCD, anxiety, panic, and related challenges. Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals navigate these difficulties using evidence-based approaches such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and psychoeducation. My clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should be both structured and supportive—a space where you feel safe to open up while also being encouraged to challenge the patterns that keep you stuck. I balance empathy and compassion with practical strategies, always tailoring treatment to fit your unique needs and goals. In our work together, I aim to help you understand your symptoms, develop resilience, and reconnect with the parts of life that matter most to you. Whether that means facing fears through ERP, practicing mindfulness with ACT, reshaping unhelpful thought patterns with CBT, or cultivating self-compassion through CFT, I provide tools that you can apply both inside and outside of sessions. I know it can be overwhelming to take the first step toward therapy, especially when anxiety and OCD already take up so much space in daily life. My role is to walk alongside you—helping you untangle the noise, embrace uncertainty, and create lasting change. Together, we’ll work toward building confidence, strength, and freedom so you can live a life guided by your values rather than fear.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step—sometimes exciting, sometimes overwhelming, and often both at the same time. If you’re wondering what it’s like to meet with me for the first time, I want to give you a clear picture so you feel more comfortable and prepared. When you log in or sit down for your first session, the focus is on getting to know each other. I’ll spend time learning about you—your story, your current struggles, and what brought you to therapy now. This is not about me “testing” you or putting you on the spot; rather, it’s a chance for us to explore what you’ve been experiencing and what you’d like to change. I’ll ask about your symptoms, your history, and your goals, but always at a pace that feels manageable for you. If you’re not sure how to answer, that’s okay—we’ll figure it out together. I also dedicate part of the first session to education. Many clients come to me feeling unsure about why their symptoms happen or why previous attempts to “just stop worrying” or “ignore the thoughts” haven’t worked. I’ll explain how anxiety and OCD operate, why certain patterns feel so sticky, and how evidence-based treatments like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) can help. My goal is to take some of the mystery out of what you’re going through so you feel more empowered and less alone. Another important piece of the first session is building comfort and trust. Therapy works best when you feel understood and supported, so I strive to create a space that is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I’ll bring warmth, structure, and yes—even humor when it’s appropriate. Sometimes a laugh can help lighten the heaviness of anxiety and make the work feel more approachable. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I can make the process feel both serious and human at the same time. By the end of the session, we’ll talk about next steps. This often includes setting some initial goals, identifying specific areas of focus, and creating a plan for moving forward. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask me any questions—about therapy, the process, or even just what it’s like to work with me. I want you to feel confident that this is the right fit for you. Most importantly, I want you to leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful. You won’t walk away with all the answers or instant relief—that’s not how the

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes my approach stand out is the way I combine specialized training with warmth, clarity, and a genuine sense of partnership. I specialize in treating OCD, anxiety, and related challenges using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment. Alongside ERP, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and psychoeducation so treatment is tailored to your unique needs. While therapy is structured and evidence-based, it is never cold or rigid. I explain complex concepts in a way that feels clear and practical, giving you tools you can use right away. I also bring compassion and humor into the process—because sometimes, a laugh can lighten the heaviness of anxiety and make the hard work of change feel more human. You can expect a space where you’ll be supported, understood, and also gently challenged. I’ll encourage you to take steps that feel uncomfortable but necessary, always walking alongside you as you do. My goal is not only to help you reduce symptoms, but to empower you to reconnect with what matters most, build resilience, and live more fully. Therapy with me isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress, growth, and creating lasting change that feels both possible and sustainable.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

When I picture the clients I feel most connected to in therapy, I think of adults who are motivated for change—even if they don’t feel fully ready yet. My ideal client struggles with OCD, anxiety, panic, or phobias and often feels exhausted by intrusive thoughts, fears, or rituals that seem impossible to control. They may feel stuck in cycles of worry, avoidance, or compulsions, yet hold onto the hope that life could be freer and more fulfilling with the right support. The Challenges They Face: Many have spent months or years quietly battling their symptoms. They may feel ashamed of their intrusive thoughts, burdened by perfectionism, or caught in “what if” spirals. Panic can leave them feeling overwhelmed by physical symptoms, while phobias may shrink their world in frustrating ways. At their core, my ideal client knows there’s more to life than living in fear, and they’re searching for a way forward. Strengths and Motivation: Even when they doubt themselves, my clients show incredible courage. Seeking therapy is proof of their strength. They want to understand their symptoms, gain practical tools, and move closer to a life guided by their values rather than anxiety or compulsions. They don’t need to have it all figured out; they just need the willingness to take that first step. What They Seek in Therapy: My ideal client isn’t only looking for a place to talk—they want a therapist who combines compassion with evidence-based strategies. They value a collaborative relationship with someone who can provide psychoeducation, accountability, and tools they can use in daily life. They also appreciate a therapist who can bring warmth and even a touch of humor into the process, making difficult work feel a little lighter and more human. How I Work With Them: I use a blend of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and psychoeducation. With ERP, clients learn to face fears and reduce compulsions. ACT helps them accept uncomfortable thoughts while still moving toward what matters. CBT supports them in identifying unhelpful thought patterns, and CFT helps soften self-criticism and build a kinder inner voice. I also emphasize education—helping clients understand how their symptoms work often reduces fear and empowers them to feel more in control. Sessions are structured but flexible, compassionate but also gently challenging. And when appropriate, I

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I specialize in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD and anxiety disorders. My experience includes advanced training at a leading mental health facility and over a decade of practice helping clients face fears while reducing compulsive behaviors. In sessions, I guide clients through exposures in a supportive, structured way while focusing on response prevention and long-term resiliency.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into my work by helping clients build psychological flexibility by learning to notice and be willing to have difficult thoughts and feelings while moving toward what truly matters to them. With training and experience using ACT, I guide clients in clarifying values, practicing mindfulness, and taking action steps that align with their goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge distorted beliefs, and build practical coping skills. With years of experience applying CBT, I guide clients in making meaningful shifts in how they think, feel, and respond so they can create lasting change.

Psychoeducation

I use psychoeducation to help clients better understand OCD, anxiety, and related challenges, giving them the knowledge and tools to feel empowered in their recovery. By teaching practical strategies and explaining how symptoms work, I support clients in building insight, confidence, and active engagement in therapy.
