Jessica Tubbs
I believe everyone has the ability to grow, heal, and create meaningful change with the right support! As a Licensed Independent Social Worker and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor, I provide a warm, encouraging, and judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable just being yourself. I meet you where you are, tailoring therapy to your unique needs and goals while helping you build on your strengths.
First session
I like to begin with an introductory session where you can share your story, talk about what's been weighing on you, and discuss what you hope to gain from therapy. My goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where you feel safe, heard, and comfortable being vulnerable.
Strengths
I believe therapy works best when it feels like a true partnership and together we will overcome life’s curveballs. My style is supportive, collaborative, and strengths-based, balancing compassion with honest conversations that encourage growth. I tailor each session to your unique needs, using evidence-based approaches to help you develop practical skills, gain insight, and navigate challenges with confidence. I work with adults facing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, substance use and major life transitions.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who wants a safe, supportive space to talk through challenges while also focusing on solutions. They may be juggling stress, relationships, work demands, or parenting responsibilities, and they’re looking for strategies that fit their real life. They value a therapist who is engaged, practical, and collaborative. Someone who helps them identify strengths, set goals, and take manageable steps toward feeling better.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so they can make lasting changes. In our work together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, or feeling stuck, and then practice skills that support healthier ways of thinking and responding.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their own motivations for change in a way that feels supportive, collaborative, and empowering. Rather than telling clients what they “should” do, MI allows us to slow down and look at what matters most to them.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Many people move through life on autopilot, especially during times of stress, and mindfulness offers a way to pause and notice what’s happening internally before reacting. In our work together, we practice skills like grounding, breathwork, and mindful reflection to help you feel more centered and in control.
