LCSW, 21 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello! My name is Deanne and I am a licensed clinical social worker with over twenty years of experience in mental health. I am experienced working with people with many types of mental health challenges including PTSD, bipolar disorder, personality disorder, Obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, and depression. I see myself as a partner on your recovery journey, supporting you in using your strengths and new learning to improve your mental health. Let's get started!
During our first session, I'll ask you about what challenges are bringing you to therapy and what you're hoping to get out of the experience. I'll also ask you to talk to me about your personal story and how you have gotten to where you are today. I may also ask some specific questions to determine what diagnosis you might be dealing with. I'll also answer any questions you might have about the therapy process.
I will listen to your experiences, help you problem-solve issues you're struggling with, and give you information that you might need.
If you're looking for help to get as healthy, centered, and grounded as possible then I am here for you. If you have had a lot of things getting in your way, or you have had many tough experiences we should work together to get you feeling better and back on track.
I use ACT to work with people on moving toward the things that they value in their lives.
I use this approach to work with people on regulating emotions, building interpersonal skills, and building mindfulness in their lives.
This touches all of my practice. I understand that trauma occurs in many ways and impacts people cumulatively throughout their lives. This is the lens through which I view any kind of treatment.
I use this to help people see what skills and talents they have that they can use in their own recovery process and how they might expand on them moving forward.
