Oussama Halty
I'm Oussama Halty, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and retired U.S. Army combat veteran. I have experience in both psychiatric and critical care settings. I provide compassionate, personalized mental health care for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other mental health concerns.
Your mental health matters. I'm here to listen without judgment, understand your struggles, and work with you to find a treatment plan that fits your life.
My approach is straightforward, supportive, and judgment-free. I believe in listening carefully, understanding each person's unique experiences, and working together to develop a treatment plan that fits their needs and goals.
First session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other in a comfortable, welcoming, and judgment-free environment. I'll take time to listen to your concerns, understand your symptoms, personal experiences, and treatment goals, and review your medical and mental health history. We'll discuss possible diagnoses, treatment options, and medications when appropriate. I encourage questions and believe you should never feel rushed or pressured into treatment. By the end of our visit, my goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and confident about our next steps together.
Strengths
I bring a unique combination of clinical knowledge, life experience, compassion, and understanding to every session. As a retired U.S. Army combat veteran and experienced psychiatric nurse practitioner, I understand that mental health challenges are not always easy to talk about. I take time to truly listen without judgment, build trust, and make patients feel comfortable and respected. I believe treatment should be a partnership, not just prescribing medications. I explain treatment options, answer questions honestly, and involve patients in every decision. My approach is practical, compassionate, and personalized because I believe every patient deserves to be heard, understood, and treated as an individual.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who wants to feel better, understand their mental health, and improve their quality of life. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, or other mental health challenges, you deserve to be heard and supported. You don't need to have everything figured out or even know where to start. I welcome individuals who are open to working together, asking questions, and exploring treatment options at their own pace. My goal is to help you feel understood, regain confidence, and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
Treatment methods
Supportive
I incorporate supportive therapy into my psychiatric care by creating a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, feelings, and challenges. I use active listening, empathy, encouragement, and practical problem-solving to help patients manage stress, anxiety, depression, and everyday difficulties. My approach focuses on building trust, strengthening coping skills, improving self-confidence, and supporting emotional well-being. I combine supportive therapy with medication management when appropriate, tailoring treatment to each patient's individual needs and goals.
