Hi! I'm Dr. Michelle and I look forward to meeting you! I am a helper by nature and look forward to helping you. I have lots of credentials but I am not a credential, but a compassionate therapist with a humanistic approach. I help people turn their lives around who may be sad, stuck, hurting or suffering in silence. I am a life-long learner, and believe in continuous learning. I have a B.S in Psychology from the University of Central Florida; a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health & School Counseling; Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education, also from UCF, and completed one year of an Organizational Leadership doctoral program. I have five state and national board certifications and/or licenses. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC); National Certified Counselor (NCC); Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC); State of Florida, DOH Chapter 491 Board Certified Qualified Supervisor (QS); and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator (CFM).
In the first session we will meet to get to know how you like to be helped. We will determine your goals and I will share my approach with you, meeting you where you are and listening to your story and making sure that I understand what you want and help you with a plan.
