You don’t recognize the face staring back from the mirror. “What’s happened to me?!?” Years of pent-up worry are taking a toll – and the evidence is there. The constant questioning and doubting… “Who am I kidding? My time has passed to live the life I want.” Therapy can help you weed through the dark moments and gain objectivity so that you are no longer bogged down by the pain of these moments. A lifetime of experiences led you to this moment. Some experiences have been positive – they’ve taught you how to savor joyful times and kept you in the moment, experiencing all this life has to offer. Other experiences have been tougher – so distressing that reminders of these moments make you feel like you’re right there, experiencing that pain all over. Sometimes, you’re anxious, depressed, and out of sorts for seemingly no reason. These moments have collected over time and made an intricate tapestry that is your life. Now you’re ready for change and to retake control of your life. I will provide a safe and comforting space for you to explore your values, desires, and passions. Become unapologetically you and free to pursue your happiness. Through the use of cutting-edge trauma therapies, we will find the road blocks and navigate through them together. We will cultivate a life worth living and help you get back to what really matters in life.
Individual therapy is a space all about you. This is an hour you can spend exploring your thoughts and feelings without judgment, pressure, social convention, or the need for reciprocity. Here, you can process things aloud and get the nonjudgmental support you can only get from a trained professional. As you’ve probably experienced, well-meaning friends can be toxically optimistic, offering rhetoric or consolation to “cheer you up.” But that’s not what we’ll do in therapy. This is a place where you’ll be seen and validated as you share what’s hardest in your life. Together, we’ll design an individualized plan that will propel your life to heal the past and improve the future. It’s a time to explore and live fully in your authentic self.

I work best with clients who are looking to make changes in the way that they live and are ready for a journey. I am a strong proponent for LGBTQ+ affirming care and work very well with members of the community, including allies. I have an extensive background working with folks who have suffered from childhood abuse and neglect, especially emotional neglect, narcissistic abuse, emotional trauma, and anxiety/depression. I am open to working with individuals who are thinking about or participating in ethical non-monogamy.

The connection with her felt genuine from the get. This is just the beginning but I feel comfortable moving forward with the space she has allowed me and the plans she has for me moving forward.

I always leave my sessions feeling heard and seen. I feel like I am talking with a supportive figure i needed my whole life. She has become a vital tool for processing my childhood trauma, help ease my anxiety as we slowly process my experiences and how it affects me in present day. I find comfort in our sessions and look forward to them each week. I am healing parts of me that I never got to as a child and Angela has been my safe space to be vulnerable and voice those suppressed emotions.

I felt seen when asked questions about my day to day life and how my trauma is affecting my current situation. I felt validated that what I am experiencing is not sustainable. I liked that we discussed working towards a plan to learn self regulation skills to improve my mental health and overall wellbeing to be a better mom and person to myself.
