I hear you. You've been going through the motions, avoiding pain, sometimes barely hanging on, and trying to live a "normal," happy life. But, your past keeps creeping up and interrupts your hopes and goals, negatively impacts your day to day life, and creates relationship struggles. A childhood trauma might be coming up or a more recent traumatic event, or maybe something you might not describe as traumatic is inserting itself into your well being. Either way, your life isn't going the way you want it to. I can help you heal from the past and move beyond the experiences that are wreaking havoc on you, so that you can have the life and future that you want and deserve. Reaching out to a therapist can feel scary, embarrassing, even shameful, but you're tired of not living. You are ready to move forward, beyond the pain, sadness, fear, and difficulty that has been in your life so far. It's time to reach out.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

As your therapist, I will guide you towards healing. Rather than give you advice, I will help you process and work through the events, thoughts, and feelings that are holding you back from the life you want. Healing is a lot of work for clients, but with the right therapist guiding them at a pace that feels comfortable, it is very much worth it.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have dedicated my career to helping people heal. It warms my heart when I think about all of the people who have experienced such things as sexual abuse, physical abuse, domestic violence, car accidents, and divorce and separation that have come to me and have been healed from our work together and are now living more fulfilled lives. I look forward to helping you do the same.

My treatment methods

EMDR

As an EMDR therapist, I guide my clients to healing. Sessions consist of BLS (bilateral stimulation through eye movements or auditorily while on line) and verbal communication to help them reach their therapeutic goals. I love that trauma details do not need to be relived or even remembered for people to heal and move on. I welcome any questions for more clarification.

Trauma Informed Care

I have been a trauma therapist for the entireity of my career, whether working with children or adults. I have helped people resolve traumas related to abuse (sexual, physical, emotional, mental), DV, traumatic events outside the home, divorce, loss, etc. I use the lens of my client's trauma experiences to inform how we move forward in treatment.
