In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a supportive, judgment-free space to share what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions to understand your challenges, goals, and background, while giving you space to share at your own pace. You can also ask questions about the therapy process and my approach. By the end of the session, we’ll begin outlining a plan tailored to your needs and identify next steps on your path to healing.

My greatest strength is building trust with clients from diverse backgrounds by creating a safe, empathetic, and culturally sensitive environment where they feel heard and respected. What sets my therapeutic approach apart is its flexibility, I use evidence-based methods such as CBT, DBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Motivational Interviewing to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. I blend structured techniques with warmth and compassion, supporting clients’ progress at a pace that feels comfortable for them.

I support clients facing a range of challenges, including behavioral and emotional regulation difficulties, trauma-related symptoms, family and parenting issues, and life transitions such as grief, unemployment, college adjustment, aging, retirement, and medical concerns. I work best with individuals who are open to change but may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain, especially those who have experienced broken trust with past providers or systems. Many are motivated to improve their wellbeing but need guidance and support to move forward. Our work together focuses on helping you feel emotionally safe, more in control of your life, and better equipped to manage daily challenges. We aim to heal from past trauma, strengthen relationships, build effective coping strategies, and ultimately restore a sense of hope and resilience.
