Greetings! I’m Dr. Vanessa Talley, PhD, LCSW, a trauma-informed and somatic psychotherapist with extensive experience across medical and psychiatric hospitals, community mental health settings, and private practice. I am deeply honored by the collaborative healing work I engage in with the individuals I serve. Therapy is a shared process, and meaningful change occurs when clients are ready to explore, reflect, and commit to their own growth. If you find yourself feeling stuck in patterns shaped by trauma, grief, depression, or anxiety, and wondering how to move forward into a fuller, more grounded life, I invite you to reach out. I specialize in evidence-based, integrative approaches designed to support lasting healing and restoration.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our initial session, we will focus on establishing a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship. As I learn more about your experiences, goals, and preferred ways of processing, we will work together to create a personalized treatment plan designed to support your healing and growth.
The treatment methods and tools I utilize
As a trained EMDR and Psychosomatic Therapist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II), and Certified Mindfulness and Meditation Coach, I utilize solution-focused and evidence-based treatments such as EMDR Therapy, Somatic Psychotherapy, CBT, MBSR, MBCT, and MBRP; to support those with symptoms of trauma, PTSD, Complex Trauma (C-PTSD), Depression, Anxiety, and more.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe in compassionate, strengths-based approaches that support deep and meaningful healing. I provide a calm, supportive, and affirming space where you can show up as your full self, as we work together to build a trusting therapeutic relationship and move toward healing of the mind, body, and spirit.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My work centers on supporting women, BIPOC communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those navigating the impacts of trauma.
