I am a compassionate, neuro-affirming therapist dedicated to supporting adults as they navigate the intersection of neurodivergence, chronic health challenges, and systemic burnout. My practice is designed to be a low-pressure, accessible space—whether we are working together in individual therapy or within the intimate, collaborative setting of a peer-support cohort. I integrate evidence-based approaches including ACT, CBT, and DBT with a strengths-based lens to help you move away from shame and toward sustainable self-advocacy. I am fluent in ASL and spoken English, ensuring that communication is clear, comfortable, and tailored to your unique sensory and processing needs. My goal is not to "fix" you, but to help you build a life that truly fits your nervous system. Together, we will dismantle the exhaustion caused by trying to meet neurotypical expectations and instead create authentic, manageable paths forward that honor your body and your brilliant, busy brain. Whether you are dealing with executive dysfunction, chronic pain, or the stress of major life transitions, you will find a partner here who truly understands the weight of your experience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Think of our first session like meeting a friend for coffee—I’ll likely have a mug in my hand, and you’re welcome to bring yours. My goal is to create a space that feels comfortable, not clinical. We’ll spend our time getting to know each other, exploring what brings you here, and identifying the areas where you’re feeling the most stuck. There’s no pressure to have a perfect "agenda" or a polished story. We’ll simply walk through your experiences together at your own pace, ensuring you feel heard, understood, and supported from the very first minute. We will also cover some brief administrative housekeeping to ensure you feel settled and secure before we dive in.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often describe me as practical, direct, and easy to talk to. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process rather than a one-sided conversation. While I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space, I am also an active therapist who helps you identify patterns, develop new skills, and move toward your goals. My professional and personal experiences provide deep insight into navigating disability, communication differences, chronic health challenges, and systems not built for accessibility. I approach our work with empathy, flexibility, and a genuine appreciation for the many ways people experience and move through the world. I balance validation with gentle challenge. If you need space to process, I will slow down and listen. If you are feeling stuck, I will offer thoughtful questions, observations, and new perspectives. My goal is not to tell you what to do, but to help you better understand yourself and develop strategies that work for your unique brain, body, values, and circumstances. I am committed to neuro-affirming practice. Whether we are discussing sensory needs, communication preferences, or the systemic barriers of chronic illness, you never have to justify your reality here. We will work together to build a life that feels authentic and manageable.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in working with neurodivergent adults (ADHD, Autistic) and individuals navigating the complexities of chronic illness and persistent pain. My ideal client is often someone who is tired of 'trying harder' to meet neurotypical standards that lead to burnout and sensory overwhelm. You might be feeling stuck in cycles of executive dysfunction, frustrated by medical systems that don't see the 'invisible' weight of your symptoms, or looking for a way to pace your life that honors your actual energy capacity. I am here to help you move away from shame and toward self-advocacy, sustainable systems, and radical self-acceptance.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT as a practical framework for understanding how thoughts, emotions, physical experiences, and life circumstances interact. Rather than assuming thoughts are irrational or need to be "fixed," I help clients examine patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, burnout, or self-criticism. Together, we identify strategies that support well-being while honoring each person's lived experience, values, and neurotype.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT to help clients build skills for navigating overwhelming emotions, stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My approach emphasizes self-understanding, self-compassion, and practical coping tools rather than emotional suppression or masking. DBT skills can help clients respond to challenges more effectively while remaining authentic to who they are.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

use ACT to help clients navigate difficult thoughts, emotions, chronic stress, and life challenges without becoming defined by them. Rather than focusing on eliminating uncomfortable experiences, ACT helps clients develop psychological flexibility, clarify personal values, and take meaningful actions that align with the life they want to build. This approach is particularly helpful for individuals navigating neurodivergence, chronic illness, disability, anxiety, trauma, and major life transitions.

Strength-Based

I use a strengths-based approach to help clients recognize and build upon their existing abilities, resilience, and resources. Rather than focusing solely on problems or deficits, we work together to identify what is already working and how those strengths can be used to navigate challenges. This approach supports self-understanding, confidence, and sustainable growth while honoring each client's unique experiences, identities, and ways of interacting with the world.
