Hi! I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist based in California. I have been working primarily with children although my interest is to also work with adults. I grew up in Northern California in an alternative community in the country. I am at home in the natural world. I believe that people can learn much about emotional regulation from nature by learning to be calm, quiet and listening. I am a life long learner with a strong spiritual interest.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, I will start by asking what you want out of our time together. This will begin to open up your self-reflection and to take ownership of your internal process. It puts you in the driver's seat. It will also help you to formulate goals for your treatment. I will help you clarify for yourself what is important, how you want to live your life and what is getting in the way of this desire.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is to serve you in finding your own truth and desires for your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am primarily interested in people who want to learn and change their lives to align with their authentic selves. I wish to work with people who can reflect on what they have been doing and what no longer serves them; clients who are ready to take deep dives into self-exploration to find fulfilment, their deepest desires and their soul's truth.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I have primarily utilized Flash Technique with children who experienced trauma. Flash Technique is a shorter version of EMDR focusing on positive experiences to reporcess past trauma. It works well with both children and adults. I have used the full EMDR method with a client who had OCD and trauma.

Compassion Focused

I view each client as a whole person. I show up for my clients as a compassionate listener and someone to help them remember their full potential and innate truth. I honor the internal heart's knowing of each person and reflect back to them this truth to offer a way forward with self-confience and growth.

Mind-body approach

I have had training in Neuro-Affective Relational Model, which is a Mind-body approach. It is another way to address trauma locked in the body needing a way to be gently released through mindful attention to the body. It starts with autonomy of the client learning and exploring what it is they really want for themselves. Many people who have been traumatized have lost the their way to their own truth and have never explored what it is that they really want for themselves. Through this method, they are able to explore this truth and be gently challenged to let go of conditioning that have held them back from their authenticity.
