Hi! I am a Licensed Psychologist with a passion for helping people navigate life's challenges using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have over 18 years of experience working with veterans, active-duty military members, and diverse populations. I believe in creating a warm and collaborative space where we can work together to build skills that empower you to lead a more fulfilling life.
In our first session, we will start with brief introductions, and get an idea of what has been working for you and what hasn't been working for you. We will develop specific measurable goals for your treatment. Form Fee: I have a form fee of 200.00. If you require a form to be completed for any reason, you must be a current client with a minimum of 10 sessions prior to the request for a form completion. As a provider, I have the discretion to complete forms or refuse due to ethical concerns.
Over the past 18 years, I have been able to meet clients where they are and individualize therapy using evidence based treatment.
I enjoy working with adult clients ready to make changes and willing to put in hard work but just need some tools to see improvements.

CBT and general therapy expertise and experience is clear. Knowledgeable about helpful and free CBT apps. Very sympathetic and shows empathy. She can call back to things I mentioned several weeks earlier -- which is helpful to me. I recommend her strongly as CBT therapist.

Dr. Colbert was able to quickly narrow down my specific areas of distress & gave me confidence that we would be successful in addressing them & arriving at solutions. She was relatable and easy to connect with.

I feel safe speaking to Dr.Colbert.
While in graduate school and the military I was trained in CBT. I have delivered CBT-based interventions to clients over the past 18 years in various specialized contexts. Specifically, I use CBT to treat depression, anxiety, stress, chronic pain, insomnia, various health concerns, and PTSD. I have specialized training in Prolonged Exposure to treat PTSD, and extensive experience treating Veterans. The CBT treatment approach in therapy can help you understand and manage the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We will work together to identify patterns and how these thoughts influence the way you feel and act.
