***Please note: No current evening or weekend appointments available.*** Hello, hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of professional work experience. I am currently licensed in Arkansas, Massachusetts, Oregon, and Florida (tele-health only license). I have experience in helping clients with depression, anxiety, family conflicts, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. I strongly believe “change your thoughts, change your life,” and using the CBT and Solutions-Focused approaches can help a person recognize how self-defeating thought patterns can hinder their growth.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

A client can expect to share their primary concerns and questions with me during their first session. They will have the opportunity to share what brought them to this point and led them to reach out for additional support. They will have the opportunity to share what they expect to get from treatment and their work with me.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My ability to help people feel comfortable and free to be themselves.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming issues that challenge you. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solutions-Focused approaches to help my clients work their way out of what is distressing them. I find these approaches to be very effective because you will begin to recognize what is going through your mind and how it affects your feelings and way that you react/respond to everyday situations.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I often use CBT as a general treatment method to help address depression and anxiety. This focus helps the individual to improve how they view situations, which ultimately can lead to decrease of negative symptoms.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I often use CPT to treat patients who have experienced trauma. It is my favorite treatment method, as many of my clients have benefitted from this course of treatment by learning to address thoughts and feelings about their trauma that keeps them “stuck” in the trauma mind. Through diligent work, my clients have had many successes and improvement in symptoms.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I enjoy using this treatment method to really “move the needle.” I will help you to recall past challenges and how you overcome those challenges before. YOU are capable and worthy of working through difficult times, and with this approach, we will walk through positive ways you have tackled and overcome those difficult times of the past.
