I am a EMDRIA certified therapist and I have 8 years experience treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and work with a variety of other issues such a procrastination and other work related issues.
In our first session together, we will complete an initial assessment in which we will identify the current issues that bring you to therapy as well as complete an in-depth history taking, and then together we will create treatment goals based on what you would like to focus on and accomplish in therapy.
I see my biggest strength as my training in EMDR therapy which is a evidenced based highly successful form of therapy which has been shown to shorten the time needed to start seeing results in therapy and addresses a variety of issues such as low-esteem, procrastination, depression, anxiety, and trauma.
I work with adult populations only, I find I work best with clients who are fed up with their current symptoms and are ready to start working toward their goals. I have a solution focused approach in which we identify your strengths and find how to best utilize those strengths to help you reach your goals.
Who we are is influenced by past experiences that form belief systems about ourselves and the world around us, therefore if we identify these formative experiences and reprocess them, you can change your negative belief systems and get rid of triggers.
Our thoughts and internal dialogue contributes to how he feel, and how we feel influences how we act; herefore, if you learn tools how to change cognitive distortions to positive thoughts you can your feelings and behavior for the positive.
I take a solution focused approach, helping you identify target areas that you would like to improve in and provide the tools that you can implement to find relief.
