(she/her)
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a warm, direct, and collaborative approach to therapy. I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, and family or relationship stress. My style blends evidence-based practices like CBT and ACT with trauma-informed care and systems thinking to support clients who want to understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, behaviors and lived experiences.
In our first session, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to gain from our work together. I’ll ask some questions to get a sense of your history, current concerns, and goals, but the pace is always tailored to your comfort. My priority is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where we can build a strong therapeutic foundation.
Clients often tell me they feel safe and seen in our sessions. I balance empathy with honesty, helping clients explore their experiences while also guiding them toward practical tools and new insights. I’m skilled at breaking down complex emotional experiences, helping clients gain clarity, and supporting them as they take steps toward growth and healing. I like to say that my personality is always in the room with us, which means that I show up as a real person, not just a clinician. This helps create an authentic, collaborative space where clients can feel at ease being themselves while doing meaningful therapeutic work.
I work best with adults and young adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves or others. Whether you’re adjusting to a major life change, struggling with stress or self-doubt, or wanting to improve your relationships, I provide a space where you can feel heard, challenged to grow, and supported.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT to help clients develop psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult emotions, clarify their personal values, and commit to meaningful actions. Through mindfulness-based strategies, we focus on living a values-driven life rather than avoiding discomfort.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and problematic behaviors. Together, we work on building more balanced, realistic thinking and practicing actionable coping skills that support long-term emotional resilience and behavior change.
Psychodynamic
I use psychodynamic therapy to explore how early relationships and unconscious patterns influence current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By increasing insight into these dynamics, clients are able to break longstanding cycles and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered approach to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel deeply heard and valued. By fostering self-acceptance through empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard, clients are empowered to access their own capacity for growth and healing.
Trauma Informed Care
I incorporate trauma-informed care by recognizing the widespread impact of trauma and creating a safe, collaborative environment that prioritizes emotional and psychological safety. I empower clients with choice and control throughout the therapeutic process, while integrating interventions that promote resilience and restore a sense of agency.
