New to Grow
I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or trauma related to their relationships or family. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.
Our first session is dedicated to establishing a warm, trusting relationship. My goal is to ensure you feel genuinely heard and understood, and that you walk away knowing I have a clear grasp of your reasons for seeking support. This shared understanding allows us to illuminate the path forward for our therapeutic journey.
I possess an innate ability to build client trust and create a therapeutic space where complete honesty and openness thrive. My practice is built on empowering clients while also holding them accountable to actively and earnestly pursue the meaningful improvements they seek.
The clients that have the most successful therapeutic experience approach therapy with an open heart and mind, believing that meaningful change is possible. They understand that the traits of humility, honesty, and commitment to their goals are key to the progress they seek. For me, a client's willingness to engage is paramount, as I've supported individuals through a wide range of challenges. This desire to change and participate actively is the strongest predictor of positive outcomes. Many have shared that they feel truly heard, safe, and trusting in our work together. This is deeply important to me and forms the foundation of my approach – ensuring you feel cared for from the start and we build from this foundation of genuine empathy. Considering therapy? If you're reading this and uncertain, I warmly encourage you to send me a brief message telling me what you're trying to solve in your life. I'm happy to connect, explain the process, and if I'm not the best fit, I'll gladly help you find the right support. You deserve to feel better.
As a clinician, I see the significant benefits of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I help clients understand the innate connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions, empowering them to gain greater self-awareness and make meaningful, beneficial changes in their lives.
I integrate Motivational Interviewing (MI) principles into my practice because its collaborative, person-centered spirit perfectly aligns with my therapeutic philosophy. By actively listening for and amplifying the client's own "change talk," I help them strengthen their motivation and achieve lasting positive life improvements.
