(she/her)
Hi there! My name is Chinh. If you’ve reached my page, chances are that your heart has been broken, you probably just had the umpteenth argument with your significant other, or maybe you’re stuck in a frustrating cycle of self-doubt, low self-esteem, and overwhelming thoughts that never seem to let up. Maybe it’s all of the above! Whatever brought you here — I’m glad you came. Let’s work through it together. I grew up in a culture where mental illness wasn’t something you talked about. Emotional struggles were ignored, hidden, or minimized. I was taught that sharing feelings was a weakness — that being strong meant staying silent. That experience shaped me. Today, I’m passionate about helping people unlearn those harmful beliefs and start living with more freedom, clarity, and emotional honesty. I want to help end the stigma associated with mental illness. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico, and I hold a Ph.D. in Counseling. I’ve spent years working with adults, couples, and families — helping people reconnect with themselves and each other. My approach is strength-based and holistic: I believe healing doesn’t mean “fixing” you — it means understanding you, supporting you, and helping you build the life you want. Therapy can be hard work, but you don't have to do it alone. I offer a space where you can show up exactly as you are — without judgment. Let's rewrite your story together.
In our first session together, we will go through the intake form to make sure everything is correct. The first session gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have, and it gives us a chance to get to know each other to determine whether it would be a good fit. Afterall, it is important for you to get to know the person you are pouring your heart out to.
I've been told by the people closest to me that I am a great listener. I am non-judgmental and will always focus on people's strengths first and foremost. Empathy and genuineness are also traits I possess. I want to walk alongside you to help you get from a place of darkness and sadness to that of hope and healing.
I love working with adults and skilled at providing therapy in both individual and couples' formats. Clients come to me with help for grief/loss issues and relationship/communication deficits.

CBT helps you become aware of thinking patterns that may be creating issues in your life. Looking at the relationship between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors helps you view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way.
This method is designed to help couples enhance their relationships through effective communication, deep emotional connection, and conflict resolution skills. Couples will be given exercises after each session to help rebuild intimacy, affection, and emotional connection with one another.
Motivational interviewing is designed to help people find the motivation to make a positive behavior change. This client-centered approach is particularly effective for people who have mixed feelings about changing their behavior.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a therapeutic approach that emphasizes clients’ strengths and resources to create positive change, focusing on present and future goals rather than past problems. It’s brief, goal-oriented, and emphasizes solutions rather than delving into underlying issues.
I am a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist and incorporate concepts from the Grief Recovery Method. We will talk about the common myths surrounding grief and learn the tools to heal your heart.
