New to Grow
My clients and I go deep. I will support you, encourage you, challenge you and together we will uncover many layers. I have specialty working with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, self-esteem issues, relationship challenges, parenting challenges, people-pleasing, co-dependency, and life-transitions. I am a deeply compassionate human who will help you find new levels of self-awareness and empowerment. All who work with me feel deeply appreciated, accepted, and supported.
In our first session I will get to know you and some of your history/background. Throughout the course of therapy, you can expect to be held with non-judgment and acceptance and to feel safe and cared for. I will support you to work through traumas, overcome fears, and become a more empowered and authentic version of yourself.
I have unique training in mindfulness and transpersonal psychology (the study of integrating spiritual and transcendent aspects of the human experience into therapy). I am adept in integrating breathwork, mindfulness techniques, and guided visualizations into sessions. Operating from a perspective of mind-body-spirit, I see people in their wholeness. I have a specialty in Art Therapy and can incorporate creativity into our sessions for those that are interested. I have specialized experience in death/grief and spent time in hospice working with people in the process of dying and their loved ones. I also have a lot of experience working with children/teens/families.
If you have experienced spiritual awakening and find yourself on a more holistic/alternative path, you may be interested in therapy as part of your spiritual growth. It may feel difficult to find a therapist that understands your spiritual experiences and who won't take an overly clinical or pathologizing approach. If you are creative minded you may enjoy trying art therapy with me. Now regardless, even if you do not consider yourself a "spiritual" or "creative" type, we can absolutely still work together. If you have traumas, anxieties, or negative patterns that you are wanting to face and heal, you will feel deeply seen and supported by me on your unique path.
Other specialties
I identify as
Attachment-based
For those who have early attachment wounds (childhood traumas with their caregivers), they can be impacted in their self-esteem, relationships, and mental health throughout their life. Addressing these wounds leads to healing and empowerment. For those who struggle in dating/relationships due to insecure attachment, I can support through offering constructive feedback and insight into these patterns.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Our thoughts, behaviors, and emotions all affect one another. It is not enough to simple address thoughts, or simply address emotions. By applying CBT I help my clients to make full-scale changes that overhaul their thoughts, feelings, and habits to create the greatest change in their lives.
Humanistic
I take a non-pathologizing approach to mental health. We are all human, and we all struggle. Rather than overly focusing on the "disorder" and symptomology, I view my clients as whole and complex individuals in need of support and healing. I take a client led approach, in which I help you discover your own power and insight, rather than me coming in as the "expert." Though I do give advice and offer my insight, I also support you to access your own intuition and guidance.
Jungian
I am very interested in how our subconscious beliefs impact our lives. I will help you to access your subconscious, including wounded inner parts and outdated beliefs. I find archetypes very interesting, and appreciate Carl Jung's work on the subject.
