Hi — Hola. I’m Andrea Gonzalez, I’m really glad you’re here! I’ve spent over eight years supporting both youth and adults. And because trauma has impacted my life as well, I deeply understand how it can shape the nervous system—fueling overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and that persistent feeling of “never good enough.” I share this simply to let you know you’re not alone—I truly understand, and I’ve been in a similar place. My approach is warm, trauma informed and bilingual (Spanish/English). We’ll work with your story and your nervous system using attachment-focused work, inner-child exploration, mindfulness, mind-body connection work, narrative therapy, and trauma informed care. I take a holistic view—mind, body, and heart—and, if it resonates, we can integrate spirituality and energy-based practices to deepen healing and self-trust. Together, we’ll create a steady, supportive space where you can set down what feels heavy, calm your nervous system, and build practical tools you can actually use—boundaries you can maintain, a gentler inner voice, and healthier relationship patterns. We’ll move at your pace, while still doing meaningful work that creates real change—so you can feel more clear, more grounded, and more like yourself.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my main intention is for you to feel welcomed, safe, and comfortable. We’ll start by talking about what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping to get from therapy—no pressure, just space to show up honestly. I’ll also explain what it’s like to work with me, answer any questions you have, and review the basics (like confidentiality and how sessions are structured) so everything feels clear and predictable. We’ll then do a brief grounding exercise to help you settle in and reconnect with your body and breath. From there, we’ll gently clarify your goals and choose one small, realistic step you can take right away. My hope is that you’ll leave the session knowing what to expect moving forward—and with something supportive and meaningful to carry with you between sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a warm, steady presence so you can feel genuinely safe, seen, and supported. My approach is trauma-informed and looks at the whole you—your body, mind, and heart—within the context of your life (family, culture, work, and community). If it feels meaningful to you, we can also gently integrate spirituality. We begin with your nervous system—learning to notice your body’s cues, building simple grounding and breath practices, and taking small, realistic steps between sessions. I’ll offer guidance that is both gentle and clear, so change feels possible without feeling overwhelming. Clients often share that they experience less anxiety, stronger boundaries, and a deeper sense of self-trust over time.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

If your story includes childhood trauma, adult trauma, or attachment wounds—and you’re living with the ripple effects (anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, or repeating relationship patterns)—you’re exactly who I work best with. Many of my clients have spent years in survival mode and have heard things like “you’re too sensitive” or “you feel too much,” when what’s really happening is that your system learned to adapt. When trauma and attachment wounds are part of the picture, it makes sense that patterns like overthinking, perfectionism, fawning/people-pleasing, freezing/shutting down, hypervigilance, over-responsibility, and cycles of guilt and shame can show up—both internally and in relationships. I also speak from lived understanding of trauma healing, and I bring that compassion and clarity into the work. You might be navigating: - Anxiety, burnout, shame, or constant “never enough” pressure - People-pleasing, guilt when you say no, fear of conflict, codependency - High functioning on the outside, overwhelmed or exhausted on the inside - Repeating relationship patterns, insecure attachment, or difficulty trusting yourself - Identity shifts (parenthood, career changes, major life transitions) - Stress-related mind–body symptoms (tension, sleep issues, gut reactivity, feeling shut down) How we’ll work together: We’ll move at your pace with consent-based, trauma-informed care. We start by creating stability—building practical tools that help you feel safer and more grounded day-to-day. From there, we gently deepen the work: attachment-focused healing, inner-child support, parts-informed exploration, narrative reframing, boundary practice, and self-compassion skills—so the changes aren’t just insight, but felt and lived. If it resonates for you, we can also weave in spirituality in a way that feels supportive and aligned. My style is warm, steady, and direct in a caring way—never pushy. I’m not here to “fix” you. I’m here to walk alongside you with honesty and compassion as you reconnect with your voice, your worth, and your ability to choose yourself. Bilingual sessions available (English/Spanish). You’re allowed to be messy. You’re allowed to take up space. And you’re absolutely allowed to heal.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

When early relationship wounds leave you feeling guarded or disconnected, attachment-based therapy offers a compassionate pathway back to safety and connection. I blend trauma-informed principles with gentle exploration of your earliest bonding experiences—helping you notice the patterns that keep you stuck and practice new, more secure ways of relating. In our sessions, you’ll be met with warmth and empathy as we move at your pace—uncovering old “security scripts,” experimenting with corrective relational exercises, and strengthening your inner sense of trust. If you’re ready to heal attachment injuries and build more fulfilling connections—with yourself and others—I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

When life feels overwhelming and your mind won’t let you rest, mindfulness-based therapy offers a gentle pathway back to yourself. With seven years of guiding children, adults, and families, I blend trauma-informed care with simple breath and body-awareness practices, meeting you exactly where you are. In our sessions, you’ll experience genuine warmth and compassion as we move at your pace—exploring tools like mindful breathing, body scans, and grounding exercises that you can carry into everyday moments. If you’re ready to slow down, reconnect with your present experience, and cultivate lasting calm, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Trauma Informed Care

I know how overwhelming it can feel when past hurts keep replaying in your mind and body—you’re not alone, and there is hope. Drawing on my own journey through complex trauma and seven years of guiding children, adults, and families, I blend trauma-informed care and somatic therapy to gently help you reconnect with safety in your body and clarity in your mind. In our work together, you’ll always be met with warmth, respect, and understanding as we move at your pace, explore practical skills, and build a toolkit you can rely on. If you’re ready to take that next step toward freedom and resilience, I’m here to walk beside you.

Narrative

When the stories you tell yourself feel stuck in a loop of pain or self-doubt, narrative therapy can help you rewrite those chapters. With seven years of supporting children, adults, and families, I weave trauma-informed care into narrative techniques that gently separate you from unhelpful beliefs. In our sessions, you’ll be met with genuine warmth and curiosity as we explore the themes and voices shaping your life story—identifying strengths, honoring resilience, and crafting new, empowering narratives you choose to live by. If you’re ready to turn the page on old patterns and embrace a story of growth and possibility, I’m here to walk alongside you.

Somatic

When your body carries the weight of stress and past wounds, somatic therapy offers a compassionate way to release tension and reconnect with your innate wisdom. Drawing on seven years of guiding children, adults, and families, I blend trauma-informed care with gentle, body-centered practices—like tracking physical sensations, guided movement, and grounding rituals—to help you uncover where emotions live and how to soothe them. In our sessions, you’ll be met with genuine warmth and safety as we move at your pace, honoring your body’s signals and co-creating tools you can use anytime you need to feel more present and at ease. If you’re ready to listen to your body’s story and find healing from the inside out, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
