The quality of your relationships has left you feeling anxious depressed, frustrated, disconnected, unseen, unheard, guilty, alone… But this isn’t the end of your story. Growth and change are within your capacity. Healing within your power. Hi, I’m Cathe and I believe in our ability to break generational traumas, to heal from wounds inflicted by those who didn’t know how or didn’t have the capacity to show up for us; and to learn how to show up for ourselves. Throughout the years I’ve worked with individual who struggled with addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma and provided counseling services to military services member and their families while deployed overseas. I witnessed the significant impact that relationships can have on your overall wellbeing. From my own personal experience; as I worked to unlearn what was no longer serving me and to rediscover my worth, I was presented with how fundamentally transformative this process can be. It’s led me to learn how to live with greater peace, to create and sustain connections and to feel safe and secure in love. It’s not an easy process nor is it a painless journey but it’s worth it. As for my credentials... I earned my Master’s degree at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for the state of Florida and territory of Guam, a board certified Telemental Health Provider and a Master’s Level Certified Addiction Professional. I am also a Qualified Clinical Supervisor which allows me to provide supervision to registered interns for Mental Health Counseling within the state of Florida. Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me. I look forward to getting the chance to learn about you and hear your story. Please Note: The SimplePractice Client Portal will be used to communicate with you, electronically sign Intake documents and conduct our Teletherapy sessions. After you have scheduled through the Grow Therapy Dashboard, I'll send you a welcome email through the SimplePractice Client Portal with a link to complete all Intake documents. All Intake documents must be filled out before the Initial Session. Please schedule your Initial Session 2 to 3 days out to allow yourself time to review and e-sign all Intake documents. It also allows me time to review your information before our session.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial session we will list our expectations, review information within intake forms if needed, set goals focused on areas that you would like to work on and explore whether a more flexible or structured style would work best for you. As time progresses we'll work towards identifying and challenging limiting belief systems and behavior patterns that may be contributing to your current struggles. As well as explore significant events in your past that may be contributing to present issues and put into practice new behavioral changes geared towards nurturing a better quality of life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

"Show me the quality of your relationships and I'll show you the quality of your life."~Ester Perel~ My years of experience working with individual who struggle with addiction and providing counseling services to military services member and their families has shown me how impactful our relationships can be to the quality of our lives. I'm passionate about working with others to address the harmful ways they may be showing up in relationships, toxic patterns of behavior, addressing issues with boundary violations, issues around intimacy to name a few. I focus on the relationships we have with others (our parents, kids, friends, coworkers, romantic partners, etc) as well as the relationship we have with ourselves (self-worthiness, self-compassion, confidence, awareness, ect)

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've been using CBT within the past 11 years while working as a Mental Health Therapist to help my clients manage various issues such as anxiety, depression and addictions. We'll use this method to explore, identify feelings, thoughts, and patterns of behavior that are negatively impacting your life. We'll also use this method to explore changes to these patterns that aline with your core values and a life that supports your overall wellbeing.
