In our first session, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, comfortable, and free to be yourself—whatever that looks like for you. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to get out of it, and anything that's on your mind. I’ll also ask a lot of questions to start getting to know you—not just the surface stuff, but the experiences that have shaped you. I find that understanding your background—your relationships, family dynamics, school and work experiences, and the challenges you’ve faced—helps me support you in a more meaningful and effective way.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is creating a space where people feel genuinely safe, seen, and comfortable—especially those who have had a hard time feeling that way in therapy before. I use warmth, authenticity, and a bit of humor (when it fits) to help ease into the work together. Many clients have shared that this made a big difference in their experience. I also believe therapy is a collaborative process, so I check in regularly to make sure we’re on track, and I’m always open to adjusting our focus if something isn’t working for you.
I love working with young adults—whether you're in college, grad school, or just starting out in your career—navigating all the “firsts” life throws your way: your first job, first serious relationship, first big decision that feels like it could change everything. My clients are often working through things like anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and self-esteem struggles. I also work well with women of all ages who are trying to untangle patterns in relationships, build confidence, learn to be more assertive, or let go of people-pleasing tendencies. If you’re feeling stuck, not good enough, or unsure of your next steps, I’m here to help you reconnect with your strengths, build tools that work for you, and remind you that you’re far more capable than you think.
I use an integrative approach, drawing on therapeutic modalities some of these include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution‑Focused Therapy and EMDR, to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and strengths.
