I have a deep commitment to creating a safe, compassionate, and supportive space for healing. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, with an emphasis on understanding how past experiences shape present challenges. I integrate psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, and emotion-focused approaches to help clients build self-awareness, emotional resilience, and lasting change. Whether you’re navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, or a desire for personal growth, I aim to meet you where you are—with empathy, curiosity, and care—so we can explore what healing and wellbeing look like for you.
Your first session with me is all about getting to know you and what’s bringing you in. There’s no pressure to share everything right away—we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your story, your goals, and what support might look like for you. It’s also a chance for you to get a feel for how I work and ask any questions you might have. Most of all, it’s a space where you can feel heard, respected, and not alone.
One of my greatest strengths is creating a calm, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to be themselves. I’m deeply attuned to the impact of trauma and bring warmth, patience, and curiosity to the therapy process. I listen carefully—not just to what’s said, but to what’s felt—and I’m skilled at helping people make sense of their inner world. I’m also flexible in my approach, drawing from different therapeutic models to meet each person’s unique needs. Most of all, I genuinely care and show up with compassion and presence in every session.
My style as a therapist is engaging and empathic. I will usually let clients lead the session but actively partake by asking exploratory questions that attempt to go deeper into the topic, and/or create a greater understanding of the situation at hand. I hope that clients feel supported in their exploration of themselves, without feeling like I have my own agenda of what I think is "best". I believe clients hold the answers within themselves and my role is to guide them there. My clients understand the importance of working towards self-compassion by attempting to make sense of feelings and behaviors that at face value may seem confusing and frustrating.
I use trauma-informed care by creating a safe and supportive environment that empowers and respects boundaries. I recognize the impact of trauma on behavior and emotions, and emphasize trust, collaboration and choice. This approach guides all interactions, helping you heal at your own pace with compassion and care.
I use a psychodynamic approach by exploring unconscious patterns, early relationships and past experiences that shape present emotions and behavior. Through a safe therapeutic relationship, you'll gain insight into your internal conflicts and emotions. I believe that this deeper understanding fosters lasting change, self-awareness and emotional growth, allowing you to heal from within.
I use a Mindfulness and emotional based approach by helping you observe and accept emotions without judgement. Through present moment awareness, you develop emotional regulation and resilience. I will support you in connecting with your inner experiences, fostering self-compassion and clarity while gently guiding you toward greater balance and psychological flexibility.
