(she/her)
Hello my name is Diana I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked with adolescent to geriatric populations for 14 or more years. If you are reading this chances are you are seeking out support due to feelings of being overwhelmed right now. This often comes to us without really knowing the cause and definitely not knowing how to cope without help. Depression, anxiety, stress, relationship discord are just some of the issues that throw our lives out of balance. If you are seeking someone who will walk along side you, listen to you, urge you to set goals and identify your strengths. I will gladly be here for you. I work with a person centered approach to mental health. I believe you are the key to your own success. I will be here to encourage and guide you.
During our first session together I will gather background and what it is that brings you into therapy. We will get to know one another and discuss what your broad goals for therapy consist of for the following sessions. My goal is to help you feel relaxed and comfortable with talking about your past and current stressors.
My goal is to help you become able to be fully self-sufficient in managing your mental health. I use a combination of therapeutic approaches tailored to the needs of each client. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Generally, there will be a combination of talk therapy, psychoeducation, coping skills, and homework assignments. I will help you to learn to identify your particular patterns of behavior that cause the greatest disruption in your life and how to change those patterns.
One of my greatest strengths is the ability to hear what is being said as well as what is not being said. I specialize in working with clients suffering from anxiety, low self-esteem, poor boundaries, relationship issues, history of trauma, aging issues and stress. I provide Christian counseling if desired.
