With over twenty five years of experience in Community Mental Health and ten plus years as a clinician, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate life's challenges. My approach is flexible and personalized because I believe that each individual is unique. I meet clients where they are, tailoring my methods to best support their individual healing journey. My personal and professional journey—rich with both challenges and rewards—has shaped me into the compassionate, understanding, and knowledgeable professional I am today.
During our first session, we will review your intake forms and complete a biopsychosocial assessment. This will help us determine if we’re a good fit to work together and identify the areas you'd like to focus on. Building trust can take time, so in order to start building the therapeutic alliance, my primary goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you can feel comfortable and at ease as we begin this journey together.
My greatest strengths lie in my ability to connect authentically with clients and create a safe, trusting environment. I am also highly skilled in case conceptualization and assessments, ensuring that clients engage in the right interventions to achieve their treatment goals. I bring a deep sense of empathy and genuine care to my work, viewing therapy as a collaborative partnership. My role is to offer support, guidance, and encouragement as clients navigate the challenges that have held them back. My passion is to help individuals break free from the constraints of their past and empower them to step into a more authentic, confident version of themselves.
CBT allows for clients to develop initial skills that will support their development throughout the treatment process. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. I’ve been using CBT within community mental health clinics, outpatient programs and school settings for the past ten years. It’s helped hundreds of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their feelings. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
Over the past 10 years, I have used narrative therapy with clients of all ages. The narrative process is to help individuals reframe their life story by "externalizing" problems, deconstructing their current narrative, and creating a new, more empowering story that emphasizes their strengths
My clinical approach utilizes a holistic and non judgmental approach that allows you to develop an improved understanding of self, the world you operate in and your potential within that world. It is very important to me that you understand that you are not alone and that we can walk together on this path to personal growth.
