Connie Crowe Haralson
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, author of Wired to Glow, and corporate executive specializing in the treatment of anxiety, trauma, excessive worry, chronic stress, burnout, grief, infertility, and betrayal trauma, including narcissistic and emotionally destructive relationships. I primarily work with women who appear strong and successful on the outside but privately struggle with overwhelm, racing thoughts, emotional exhaustion, confusion, or feeling lost. Many have spent years putting others first, questioning themselves, or losing their identity in relationships, careers, and life’s expectations.
I primarily work with women who appear strong and successful on the outside but privately struggle with overwhelm, racing thoughts, emotional exhaustion, confusion, or feeling lost.
My approach combines evidence-based therapy, trauma-informed care, relational psychology, and lived experience. Together, we’ll address the underlying causes of anxiety and distress, break unhealthy patterns, develop practical coping skills, and rebuild emotional resilience. My goal is to help you quiet the noise, trust your intuition, reconnect with yourself, and confidently take your next right step.
First session
I want you to feel heard, understood, and safe being yourself without judgment. You don’t need to have everything figured out or even know where to begin. I’m not your traditional therapist who simply sits back and asks, “How does that make you feel?” Although sometimes that’s exactly the right question! My approach is more collaborative, engaged, and directive. I’ll bring clinical expertise, curiosity, empathy, and a healthy dose of challenge, but I also want you to be an active participant in your own growth. Depending on your needs, our work may involve uncovering deeply rooted beliefs, painful experiences, and patterns you haven’t fully recognized. That process can sometimes feel uncomfortable, but meaningful growth often requires us to explore what’s beneath the surface. We’ll move at a pace that respects your readiness while gently challenging what may be keeping you stuck. Our first session is about understanding your story, identifying what matters most to you, and beginning to create a path forward. My hope is that you leave feeling understood, hopeful, and confident that we’re working together toward meaningful change.
Strengths
I bring a unique combination of clinical expertise, professional experience, and lived experience. My own journey through infertility, sexual trauma, divorce, the loss of my mother, and emotionally abusive and narcissistic relationships has given me a deep understanding of grief, resilience, and post-traumatic growth. I know what it’s like to rebuild confidence, recognize unhealthy patterns, establish boundaries, and rediscover a healthy sense of self. I also believe we’re all works in progress, myself included. Building boundaries is a life-long journey for me and I want to share what I have learned with others. My style balances a psychologically safe, compassionate space with a healthy dose of challenge. I’ll meet you with empathy, authenticity, and respect, but I’ll also encourage you to question old patterns, debate old thinking, identify and lean into your strengths, and grow. I believe meaningful change happens when we feel safe enough to be vulnerable and empowered enough to do things differently.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is often a woman who looks strong, capable, and successful on the outside but feels overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. She may struggle with excessive worry, burnout, grief, infertility, betrayal trauma, or the aftermath of a narcissistic or emotionally destructive relationship. She’s spent years meeting everyone else’s needs, questioning her own intuition, or losing herself in relationships and expectations. She may be navigating divorce, career changes, or a major life transition and wondering, “How did I get here, and what’s next?” She’s ready to understand her patterns, heal from painful experiences, build healthier boundaries, and rediscover her confidence, identity, and sense of peace. First and foremost, I want you to feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself without judgment. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. Our first session is about getting to know you, understanding what’s bringing you to therapy, and exploring what you’d like to change. We’ll talk about your symptoms, experiences, strengths, and goals, and begin identifying patterns that may be contributing to your distress. My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I balance empathy and psychological safety with thoughtful questions and a healthy dose of challenge. My hope is that you leave feeling a little lighter, more hopeful, and with a clearer sense of where we can go together.
Origin story
When I was 18, I met a young woman experiencing homelessness who looked at me and said, “please don't forget about us.” Her name was Brenda. I promised Brenda I wouldn’t. That moment has stayed with me throughout my life and helped shape my decision to become a therapist. I’ve always believed everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported, especially when life feels overwhelming. I truly believe we are all "trying to make it" in life and sometimes we need support in the journey. My passion is helping women navigate anxiety, trauma, grief, relationships, and life’s many demands without losing themselves along the way. I want to give back to my clients what others have given to me. Through my own life experiences, clinical work, and career as a corporate executive, I’ve seen how easily we can abandon ourselves trying to meet everyone else’s needs and expectations. My goal is to help women protect their mental health, identify the next "good" step for them, reconnect with their intuition, and learn to trust themselves again. I want to help women create lives that feel authentic and aligned with who they truly are—lives grounded in peace, confidence, emotional stability, and a shows up for herself despite external noise and distration.
Ongoing work together
Our work together will be collaborative, intentional, and focused on meaningful, lasting change. We’ll start by identifying your goals, understanding what’s contributing to your anxiety, stress, or emotional pain, and developing practical strategies to help you feel better. As we build trust, we’ll explore deeper patterns, past experiences, limiting beliefs, and the ways you may have learned to put yourself last. I’ll help you connect the dots between your past and present while challenging you to try new ways of thinking, responding, and relating to yourself and others. Progress isn’t always linear, and healing isn’t about perfection. We’ll regularly check in on what’s working, celebrate your growth, and adjust our approach as needed. Over time, I want you to notice less anxiety and overwhelm, stronger boundaries, healthier relationships, greater confidence, and a renewed ability to trust yourself. Ultimately, my goal isn’t for you to need therapy forever. It’s to help you develop the insight, skills, and resilience to navigate life with greater peace, clarity, and confidence.

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
Drawing on my extensive EAP experience, I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help you navigate stress, burnout, relationships, and life transitions. Trauma-Informed Care
I provide a safe, supportive space to explore how past experiences, trauma, and unhealthy relationships may be affecting your life today.
