Hi, I'm a licensed clinical psychologist originally based in California, now working remotely. I have been in practice for 20 years. I help adults of all ages to improve their confidence, emotional resilience, and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session together we will start with introductions and determine your priorities for treatment. I will provide you with an honest assessment and an initial treatment plan.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked in multidisciplinary settings including hospitals, educational institutions (primary through university) and outpatient clinical settings for the past 20 years I bring a wealth of experience to the virtual environment. Like many clinicians during the pandemic learned to adapt to remote therapy. In so doing, I learned that there are many benefits to clients who otherwise would not be able to access care. Using online therapy allows me to be more flexible and meet the needs of my clients.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

It is my privilege to work with individuals of all ages (currently serving adults 18+) who have been diagnosed with or suspect a diagnosis of depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, adjustment disorders, or learning disorders and who have a sincere desire to collaborate and to work towards improving their circumstances.

Motivational Interviewing

In our work together we will focus on the future not the past. I will encourage you to focus on what you can do and not to dwell on what you can't. Based on your defined goals and current limitations we will devise a plan to improve your functioning.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We will use a highly structured approach to understand your current situation and strive to manage your problems. By examining your thoughts and actions change will become possible.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

After gathering of information related to your sleep concerns we will develop a plan that may include cognitive, behavioral an psychoeducational approaches. The approaches will vary depending on your unique needs.
