Hi! I am a nurse practitioner with dual certification in family and psychiatric mental health in Florida. I received my Master's degree from Saint Thomas University. I also received my post master's degree at the same university in Florida. I have been serving patients for more than 14 years in different roles all over the country. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I am well equipped to answer the call of serving those who need helps.
In our first session, we will work on establishing a comfortable and trusting environment. Then we will go deeply into struggles you are facing. Together a plan based on mutual understanding will be crafted Follow-up sessions will be included in the plan.
The work I have done in the business of serving people with great care over the years in different capacity and role, I have developed an ability to effectively communicate with clients while demonstrating empathy and understanding of the struggle they have faced.
I love working with clients who suffer anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and eating disorders. I believe that everyone deserves someone who is willing to listen and understand their struggle.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
It has been used in getting the clients identify and challenge distorted thought patterns. It allows the focus on the connection between thought, feelings, and behaviors in order to improve mental conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and so on. Once the unhelpful thoughts have been identified, I would challenge their accuracy by guiding the clients to gather evidence that may reject their distorted thoughts and to develop healthier coping mechanisms.
Interpersonal
Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) is used as a focused and collaborative approach to tackling mental health issue concerns . IPT allows to put strong emphasis on resolving current relationship conflicts that might be contributing to the difficulties. IPT is more than talk therapy, it offers the clients the opportunities to learn and practice new communication skills. Clients are also encouraged to take the ownership of the progress they have made along the way.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is an approach used in a practice to help clients identify and strengthen their behavior. It is particularly useful for addressing ambivalence towards change. The practice of MI prioritizes understanding, values, and, of course, motivations for change. MI has been found meaningful in treating certain conditions. The core principles of MI applied during the sessions for the benefits of the clients by deeply exploring their motivations and developing coping strategies.
Supportive
Supportive therapy is a form of psychotherapy that pus emphasis on the therapeutic alliance to alleviate symptoms, improve self-esteem, restore relation to reality. The key aspects of supportive therapy involves paying close attention the the client's concerns and emotions, acknowledging the legitimacy of the client's emotions, and teaching practical strategies like relaxation techniques while highlighting the strengths and progress of the client.

For my first medical video visit I will say it was interesting and comfortable. I was able to open up and share things with him about my past and my current situation without any hesitation it was very easy. I like the fact that we were not in the same room face to face for some reason it seems like it was easier to talk this way, through the camera. Dr Mark was very personable I felt I could trust him and he had a very good bedside manner so to speak.
