About me

Greetings! I am a licensed Psychologist who obtained my doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in the Bay Area. My specialties are Multicultural identity, Asian-Pacific Islanders, LGBTQAI+, trauma, and Geek Therapy. I am a nerdy-geeky person, and my past clients have found that I can be straight to the point if the moment serves but will also give time to vent, meeting clients where they're at.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I am a Multi-Theoretical psychologist. In our first session, we will start with brief introductions and what drives your need to seek therapy. This will help me plan together what therapy might look like and your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What I am best at is being authentic and building authenticity. What makes me good at what I do is seeing things for what they are and helping clients build the confidence to embrace who they are.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The populations I serve are ideally over the age of 14 who are at a transition in their lives. Clients that want some space for support as they navigate the unpredictable. I enjoy working with clients who understand therapy requires active participation and engagement rather than a passive experience. They also appreciate the power of humor in building authenticity, and sometimes, we need to laugh to get through the tears.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

I was trained in humanistic therapy at many training sites over the years. I use the person-centered method of meeting clients' unique needs and helping them realize their path.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I take a cultural humility approach where I do not assume I know everything about a client and honor that culture is essential in how we interact with the world.

Gender-affirming therapy

One of my specialties is LBGTQAI+ therapy, where I am trained in LBGT-CBT trauma therapy and have trained other professionals in the importance of gender-affirming care.

Interpersonal

Interpersonal therapy attempts to improve our relationships with others, which is essential for understanding symptoms we might be experiencing and how we react to others.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma is my primary therapy focus when the client shares that they want to "work through something." I have training in TIC and have knowledge in PTSD and Post-Traumatic Growth, which I use in sessions frequently.
