Lisa Hulsizer
Hi there! My name is Lisa and I am a licensed clinical social worker here in sunny Florida. I have 10 years of clinical experience working with adults, children, adolescents, and teens. I have found that my absolute favorite population to work with are teenagers and young adults! These years are filled with a lot of changes and growth, and I love supporting my clients through this challenging time. I address a wide range of issues with my clients, including depression, anxiety, school-related issues, relationships, self-harm, suicidal ideation, anger, life changes, self-esteem, family conflict......just to name a few! A little about me: I live in central Florida with my teenage daughter, our puppy, and 6 cats (yes, you read that right......6!). In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, watching movies (I love all things Marvel), and hitting up the numerous theme parks close by. I look forward to meeting you!
First session
While making the decision to start therapy is amazing, it can also be nerve-wracking! Therefore our first session together will be very laid back. We will use that time to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. I feel that it is so important that we get to know one another before jumping into our work together!
Strengths
I would say my biggest strength is my ability to connect with teens and young adults My approach is very laid back, welcoming, and non-judgmental......with a lot of laughs!
Ideal clients
While I have worked with clients of all ages, I find that I can really connect with teens and young adults. That may be because I am a big gamer nerd, but I will take it! :)
