I am passionate about working with individuals experiencing: depression, anxiety, transitions, relationship issues, as well as spiritual abuse and religious harm. Creating a safe space for people to reflect on their lives and work towards their goals is sacred and a privilege. Often coming into therapy is a difficult step. I am honored to walk alongside people who are searching and willing to take the next step towards healing. I enjoy working with adults exploring their identity. I strive to meet people where they are and create a space for them to explore deeper parts of themselves. I believe that providing a non-judgmental, genuine connection is crucial in working toward creating an authentic relationship with others. My goal is to help people find and connect to their true selves. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy being with my kids and partner, hiking, and being in nature. I also appreciate quiet time, so when the silence comes, I welcome it. I also enjoy a good podcast or audio book.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I work from a client centered approach. I often open sessions with asking the client to take inventory of where they are emotionally and/or mentally. I believe what the client brings to the therapeutic space is invaluable. As we work together and gain rapport, the focus of sessions shift to deeper work as the client is ready. I will gently challenge the client at times if needed. I do like giving practical takeaways, or "homework" assignments if the client is willing.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

Like most therapists, my approach to therapy is eclectic (I use a bunch of theories/practices) to find the best possible path for clients to meet their own needs. I believe strongly that you are the expert on you. Some techniques I often use are CBT/DBT, Internal Family Systems, as well as attachment based therapy. When working with couples I use Gottman, and Emotionally Focused Therapy if there is enough trust in the relationship.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, we have to create a safe space in order for there to be room for healing. My clients often tell me I am able to provide a warm, compassionate space for them to bring what ever they need to bring to session. Providing a non judgemental space with curiosity is vital, and is what I aim to do with every client.
