Hello! I'm a licensed clinical social worker and work with adults 18+. When getting to know new clients, it's important to show curiosity, empathy and unconditional positive regard. The therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of therapy and I work hard to make my clients feel seen and understood. My favorite interventions include grounding and mindfulness exercises. Further, we will work on the development of more resource and clear communication skills including boundary work. My goal is for you to feel less alone with your struggles. My areas of specialization include childhood trauma, church hurt and queer issues, including family estrangement. I'm a member of the LGBTQ+ community and offer an inclusive, safe and accepting space. My practice is also sex-positive, gender-affirming and anti-racist. If any of this resonates with you, please go to my website to schedule an initial, no cost consultation call. I look forward to speaking with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Therapy is a deeply personal relationship and requires a great deal of trust. During the first session, we will go over your intake paperwork and I will ask you questions about your history and the concerns you have. We will take it slowly, and not dive in too deeply at first, as I believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship takes time and trust. Together, we will discuss whether we would work well together then, if so, we will make a plan for how to move forward to improve your quality of life and mental health.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a member of the queer community, trauma survivor and former member of a high-control religion, I have lived experiences that help me to be empathic, patient and a good listener. I'm passionate about providing quality mental health services and am committed to working hard alongside my clients.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I specialize in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community and individuals who have a history of childhood trauma or church hurt. Further, I work with clients who have experienced a recent loss, whether it be the death of a loved one, a difficult life transition or estrangement from family. I’m queer and I offer an inclusive, safe and accepting space. My practice is also sex-positive, gender-affirming and anti-racist. Clients that are looking for a nonjudgmental space with empathy and affirmation are a good fit for my practice.
