New to Grow
Hi! I’m Cassie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I'm so glad you've made it here. It takes a brave person to recognize they want to make a change within themselves. Your struggle is human, and you don't have to make sense of it alone. I have experience working with individuals navigating life transitions, trauma, mood disorders, and relationship challenges. I aim to create a calm, down-to-earth space where mindfulness and present-focused tools help you feel grounded and supported. I believe your pain is your portal - an invitation directly to the soul. Your pain is asking for your attention - it carries insight, emotion, and parts of you that are asking to be seen. When you begin to turn toward it, rather than away, something shifts. Real change doesn’t come from pushing feelings down. It comes from allowing them. From making space for the tears, the truth, and the experiences that never had a voice. If you’re ready, we can walk through together.
The first session is really just about starting the conversation. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, what’s bringing you in, and what you hope to get out of therapy. It’s also a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for whether I’m a good fit for you! You don’t need to have everything figured out—just showing up is enough, and we’ll take it from there.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a genuine, authentic connection with clients. I approach therapy as a human relationship first, recognizing that meaningful growth often occurs when people feel seen, understood, and accepted. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and relational. While I bring clinical knowledge and professional expertise into the room, I also believe that therapy should not feel overly formal or disconnected from the realities of everyday life. Research consistently highlights the importance of the therapeutic relationship as a key factor in successful outcomes, and I consider building trust and rapport to be central to my work.
My ideal client is an adult who recognizes that there is something in their life they want to understand, heal, or change. They may not have all the answers, and they may even feel scared or uncertain about the work ahead, but they have a sense that growth is possible and are willing to take the first steps toward it. Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of individuals and concerns, which has given me an appreciation for the uniqueness of each person's story. Rather than specializing in one specific population, I am best positioned to serve adults who are curious about themselves, open to reflection, and motivated to create meaningful change in their lives. I view therapy as a collaborative process and a doorway to growth. My clients do not need to feel fully prepared or confident when they begin; they simply need a willingness to explore what is no longer serving them and a desire to move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life. I enjoy supporting people as they navigate life's transitions, work through challenges, and discover new possibilities for themselves.
Other specialties
I identify as
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Although we all wish that we did not have to experience pain, stress, anxiety, grief, ect., all of these feelings are part of life. ACT therapy allows you to make space for these emotions rather than fighting or avoiding them. The goal is never to just "think positively", but instead be mindful of your emotions, and how they are impacting you. A step further than CBT, we are not just identifying and changing the content of the thoughts, but changing your relationship with those thoughts.
Humanistic
Your life experiences are completely unique to you, and I do my best to meet you in understanding. You are in the drivers seat of your therapy, and I am along for the ride as the passenger! My goal is to create a down to earth, non-judgemental space where you feel comfortable to show up as you are and explore your feelings and experiences.
