There are often times in our lives when we would like to talk to someone about the difficulties and challenges we face. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I would like to be a resource to help you build strategies to face these challenges head-on. I have worked with many individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief and/or PTSD. I value receiving feedback to better tailor the therapeutic relationship and address your unique hardships.
In the first session with me I like to get to know more about you as an individual. If you have any questions that I can help answer please do not hesitate to ask. I will answer things to the best of my ability. I feel like this is the first step in developing a therapeutic relationship. This will help us learn in what direction the therapy will go.
I have a wide array of experience working on therapy addressing grief, relationship concerns, past traumas, work related stressors, symptoms of depression, namely: anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder and ADHD.
I am flexible with who I work with. I believe that the most important thing is the willingness in being able to push ourselves in new directions.
DBT is a therapy model that can be used for a wide array of different concerns. Its main focus will be in teaching us how to handle uncomfortable situations in more effective ways. It is something that we will all experience at one point or another.
